You can't avoid them. The only way to avoid them is you stop investing in ico but trying to note some key to avoid them doesn't work anymore only if you have more than enough to invest with, you will make gain in four out of ten projects you invest into.

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

You made a good suggestion on raising alarm when we find scam ico but the thing is, it is not easy to find, what i think is to do some research on a project before entering at least this will reduce the amount of scam we would fall into.

Ico scams are beginning to look more and more legit as time passes but the formula for catching scam my sales is still the same and it is to research. You have to research every single ico you invest in, check the team, check the road map, the progress, check if they have a product that is already working and also check the value of the community if all these does not check out it is better to be safe than sorry.
But if they do then you can invest also check the token details and economics this is very very important.

How to avoid?
Simple just believe to yourself, if you feel you will get scammed so don't invest, that's it  Grin

I think that it's better to stop investing in ICOs. ICOs market is dead now.
Stop? hmm in my point of view some of us will can't to do that because investing at ICO project looks like a necessity. they aware if they get scammed but they still invest on other ICO project. i know it's weird.
. . .  .Of course, there are good ones, like bittorent which has alredy made x5 profit from ICO price. But it was supported by Tron team.
I think if without tron, the possibility of BitTorrent will also be quickly dead.

if you don't want to be cheated don't invest in ICO. ico is very risky even we can't tell which projects are good and scam. focusing on old coins is the best choice at the moment or you can invest in STO. but if you don't like companies that make it difficult STO isn't a good choice for you.

The ICO investments are so risky. Actually, there are only 10% ICO that are promising and real so it means the other 90% are scam ICOs. We can guarantee the credibility of the ICO by studying the background of the members behind the ICO.

It's very risky because you have no assurance either the project will failed or you will scam.

OP get involve in ICOs investment doesn't mean he cant be cheated because the crypto scammer are everywhere and they are using varieties of strategy to steal from people. Besides, I believe you yourself dont look what to lookout for before investing into ICOs and if you quit ICO investment because of theft then you might miss a huge opportunity which might occur through it. However, every crypto investment have it own good and bad side including the STOs either but I will advice you and the OP to understand the depth of STOs and ICOs investment first.

For a long time on this forum there are several topics where people write about projects that are suspected of fraud. And people further study these projects in more detail in order to find out whether this is a fraudulent project or not. Use the search on the forum.

On this forum you can find absolutely any information about new projects and the most important thing is that you can discuss such projects with more experienced market participants. I think that if you are a newbie, then there is nothing difficult to write some personal message to the old forum participants to ask their opinion about the project

It seems to me that most of the ICO projects cheat on their investors. That is why I stopped investing in ICO now. This has become very dangerous.

To avoid participation in ICO projects of cheaters, it is necessary to study in detail the projects in which you want to invest or take part in the bounty campaign.
I always do that and I manage to find only good projects.

It is hard to find out the ICO its a scam we know that som3 of scammer were professional  on what are they doing so that it is possible to find it out if the manager was knowing and respectable and the website was be on the good and the road map was following it last previous quater so i think was a legit ICO but always becarefull and be vigilant  on what you are joining.

It seems to me to be unrealistic to avoid, but it’s quite possible to reduce the risk of getting caught on them, for this you need to conduct a thorough analysis of the project, its team!

To avoid scam, it all depends on us. If we choose to learn much rather than yearning to invest in what we have know idea about will really help. Knowledge as i know is power so let seek that first. Also before joining any ICO try as much as possible to know what you entering it and how authentic they are.
