I know it's still very early for great lightning wallets. But I think we need a thread where we can have list of these.

After this post I thought I will give a try to each of the wallet and post the experience here.

Swift Lightning iOS: close Beta. Testnet. Gives access through TestFlight. Good UI, probably the best among all. Since iPhone does not allow background syncing app screen should be in the front. I had to close the app for some other work and syncing stops right there. Whatever you do after that syncing does not begin again.

Got the rawTx synced as well

rawTx iOS: Can download from the app store. Testnet. Has all the features, focus is not on UI. App crashes very frequently while opening the wallet. Syncing process is fine. But even after the last block is synced, it says syncing. Most of the wallet does not allow features of opening channels while syncing (maybe lightning thing). So unable to open channel. The normal Bitcoin Blockchain pub address to receive test bitcoins keep changing, so by the time you get test coins (usually more than 10 minutes) wallet has some other address and you can not use the coins received in other address in any way (wallet does not show the private keys, makes its more difficult).

Rest later. Let me know if you need any more info.

ZAP iOS is in alpha version. It should support BTCPayServer, atomic swaps, and other interesting stuff. It has good usability, It is coming after couple of months. You can read more from the official post of Jack Mallers https://medium.com/@JimmyMow/new-zap-desktop-zap-ios-and-whats-next-806ce35e4fe7

What is the original source for these wallets? People might search for them and end up at a spoof site or a phishing site for these wallets? How can they verify that the original source is legit?

I was looking at a few of them, but I do not trust the ones that are not Open source. They can hide a lot of nasty stuff in their code and we will never know, until your coins are re-directed to the wrong wallet.  Roll Eyes

OP you actually did some good work to find the mobile supported lightning wallets but I think it is very early to use them maybe most of them were in beta and waiting to be launched in mainnet soon. And some were not find open source so it is not trusted as much, and also add the original link to the site to avoid phishing as @Kakmakr said.

This still not answer my question, because Copy & Pasting a article and then changing the output/Url is even more dangerous. How do we verify the original source code for these wallets?

I know some of them is available on Github, but do we know which of these are safe to use? We know the Bitcoin Core code is safe, because it is backed up with a signature to verify it's authenticity and we know where it is made available.

I would not trust any of these wallets with large amounts of coins, until we can verify that they are safe to use.

Isn't it enough verification if the github source code links came directly from their website? If you visit some of the wallets' official website (SwiftLightning, Rawtx, Lightning-wallet) You will see that they posted their github links directly to their website. Or are we still in the assumption that even their website is compromised by other people? Then if that is the case maybe implementing what Bitcoin Core is doing is a good way of giving assurance.

Most of them are on testnet to give the glimpse of Lightning. So you would not need to worry about your coins for now.

When on mainnet, I believe there are 2 things which we need to keep in mind while using:

1. Open-sourced/ Not open-sourced.
2. Above that, with some of the wallet (Thin Wallet, Zap iOS closed beta currently) you can actually maintain your own lightning node and these apps would help just interact with the node.

Not enough but good start.

Also just continuing on the updates:

Coinclip iOS: Probably the best for iOS in terms of working. Okayish UI/UX. But does it's job. I was able to sync node, Request test coins, Open channel with test coins, Pay on the channel and finally close the channels. Although later on it started crashing as well, but apart from that awesome.
