Hi,

First time I've seen this, see:
https://blockchain.info/tx/ecb466e5546602205160a58b0e41f91c31e8b7a1deb5a87b56d72da9db698bbd

Two BTC amounts, from different people, both legit, valid, but haven't made it in to any blocks for a few hours now. Any ideas, or is patience the name of the game here?

Thanks

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

No fees were included in both transactions, so don't complain if it takes some time to confirm.
I think the coins weren't mature enough to have a high priority score, but they should confirm in less than 24 hours.

Next time let those senders know that you aren't interested in engaging in any additional transactions with them until they learn how to include a proper transaction fee.  Don't encourage ignorance by failing to educate those that are making ignorant mistakes.

No fees, =no confirms for upto 2days before coin returns back to sender. Always wait for one confirmation.
