Looking for opinions/suggestions on my build for a 24/7 altcoin mining build.
My budget is very limited and am currently looking at these components:
GPU's: multiple r9 270's (140 euro each) or r9 270x's (162 euro each)
Motherboard: Asrock H81 Pro BTC
Power Supply: Corsair RM750 (how many r9 270's would one of these sustain?)
CPU: AMD sempron 145
RAM: 4gb ram (is 2 gb enough with linux?)

Let me know your opinion on the build and how long you think it would take to make a return of investment with 24/7 dogecoin or litecoin mining.

Pick the 270's at 140€ each.  What is the exact brand and model?

The Sempron 145 CPU is not suitable for the Intel based Asrock H81 Pro motherboard. You need an Intel Pentium G3220 (?) or some Celeron.

You should undervolt the cards for longevity and power savings.

Get a more powerful PSU that does not hurt your budget,  1000W or above. Consider 100W for the base system, and 150W per 270 card. Allow 20% margin for 24/7 operation. So, a GOOD 1050W PSU will allow 4 270 cards, perhaps 5.

That Corsair RM750 PSU can only handle 2 270 cards safely on 24/7 operation. For 3 cards you'd need to use Molex to PCI-e connectors (bad idea) or PCI-e 8pin to 2x 6pin splitters (okayish)

ROI: maybe 3 months minimum and it's getting worse, not better. If you pick other profitable coins, a bit less, but you have to be lucky and on top of them.

Here is a small hint

All my rigs on GOLD 850 PSU's [FSP] x [5] 270's. All undervolted to 1.075 getting 410kh/card
Sempron AM3 / 2GB
Linux so no hard drive.

3 powered risers/rig [get usb 3.0 powered riser] and save troubleshooting time

Turn off all unneeded power in ASROCK970 Extreme 4 motherboard BIOS

Thank you everyone for your responses!

How many litecoins or dogecoin (if preferable) would I be able to mine in about 3 months with 4x 270s?(What my current budget allows)

Thanks for the tip.  So you would not go for the Pro BTC motherboard then?  Also I assume you would install Linux on a thumb drive? If so do you keep your wallet saved in the usb thumb drive?
