It sounds crazy right? but think about a wallet that was open source, supported all those coins, supported windows, mac, linux, android, iOS.

It would also have an option for the printing of paper wallets and a tab for cold storage.

It should have the lightweight of Multibit and the security of Armory, as well as the simplicity of electron.

I have no coding knowledge and am new to the bitcoin and altcoin world. anyone interested to helping just PM me

DONATIONS OF ANY AMOUNT ARE HIGHLY APPRECIATED!!! Smiley

Yeah kinda like one ring to rule them all and when it gets hacked, screw them all.

Bad idea IMO though noobs may like it.

I believe in the security issues but remember nothing is secure but thats why the wallet would have an option to print paper wallets. or an option to assist new users in cold storage. But i resoect the feedback Smiley thanks brother

So you bring nothing to the table and want others to do all the work?

Why are you needed?

Thats the thing. Im not needed as i do not want any share of the credit. I just thought it would be an idea someone would like to take up. I could even imagine me trying to code that XD

while these security caveats mentioned are valid, they seem to be getting at kind of a "security by obscurity" strategy (if having different wallets instead should be the better way) -- not secure either.

Usability seems to literally require such a multi-coin wallet, else it may be (even) hard(er) to come closer to Bitcoin/other Crypto coin mass-adoption! Imagine a world where you actually needed different e-mail clients for Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail etc (for AOL you did for a very long time, BTW!) -- not killer, not state-of-the art.

So, with proper security features like integrated paper wallets and (other) cold storage, this is viable and it may really be what's needed to get Steve Jobs' grandmother to use Bitcoin or any other Crypto coin...

Just my tow pence (or rather satoshis) here.

--

P. S..: bad sample, I know -- remember though that it wasn't Jobs but his idiot successor who tries to bully and censor Bitcoin, so maybe Jobs' grandmother would still want to use them ;)
