They got a enterprise deployment program from Apple (299USD per Year) and built and signed a by-apple-not-allowed iOS app.
Now, of course, Apple pulled-back the certificate, but everyone can install the app via web when setting back the iOS system date to date before when apple pulled-out the certificate.

Why should we not do that with a nativ iOS wallet?

1) Found a small company
2) Register for a enterprise program
3) sign app and make it public downloadable
4) wait till apple pulls back the certificate
5) inform user to set back the date (and blame Apple) while installing the app
6) set the date back to "now"

Never happening. At least not since Apple killed hypercard and the SE/30, which was the best Unix workstation ever. Now Apple just shits on shiny glass shards.

http://pheeva.com/ is using a co-op + enterprise distribution to get around the app store. Should work in theory(co-op members are "employees" of the org)

I believe the Blockchain app is better and you should encourage APPL to allow crypto wallets instead of workarounds.

If you need app for small transactions can use our web solution for ios.
We don't store the keys on your device, so it may be right not to store a lot coins there.
But you may like it as a light easy service.

Indeed, it is too much especially for the wallet that you can easily lost? and in this case you'll all coins.

As already mentioned the Pheeva wallet does this and will also upload an encrypted copy of your wallet online as well, plus allow others to download their wallets, decrypt them, use them, and then "burn" them (i.e. delete them from your phone).

They use the enterprise/co-op model.
