Yes! Although I am not into tech and programming, I have 5 reasons to believe blockchain is a great career choice for students.
Here they are:

1. Many industries are starting to search for the ways of adopting the blockchain system into their operations. It's not necessary for the industry to be related with crypto currencies. Even the medical industry is now integrating the blockchain technology.

2. There is a huge demand and shortage for the blockchain developers. This means, that the salary ranges for the related job positions will be extremely high.

3. In general, the IT field has great perspectives for the junior professionals. Blockchain is a part of it, so there will be lots of amazing growth opportunities for the candidates.

4. It's super interesting. The technology is getting developed, so there always something new to learn and practice.

5. You can develop your own products on blockchain. For instance, you can write a DAPP for Ethereum and start making money from the so-called smart contracts.
