Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

How do we know this is a real coin and not a replica?

Money is the oldest magic trick in the book.

I know it weights the correct weight, and looks exactly the same as many others, but there is no way I can prove it on line. You just have to look at the photos and video, and consider my selling history: so far no one has ever complained about receiving a fake coin. PS. Also: good quality fake coins of that size are very rare. The only I know of are actually filled with platinium (they were minted at a period when platinium was cheaper than gold), and are now much more expensive than real coins.

Nice coin.
Indeed, this coin is sometimes nicknamed "angel" and is one of the nicest of the napoleon series.

Hmm... sounds like an opportunity for an honest appraiser to make a name for himself in the community.

Less than 7 days left.
Are you guys going to let ender_x take all my coins or something? He has already won my two previous auctions.

It's easy to verify gold. Gold is very soft so drilling a small hole will do the trick. If it goes all the way through with only gold filing produced, it's legitimate. If the drill bit stops in the center, you have a dud.

I would hate to see your wife's jewelry set.

Come on guys, gold hits a new record high and bitcoin is getting lower! Current bid is only 224 BTC. You can do better than that!
