Is google hangout something to do with googles new social network?

If anything I've said is vaguely useful feel free to show your appreciation

No.

I've been dumping everything google based on their continuous failure to protect the privacy of my data.

Dumped Google+, quit using Google Search (switched to ixquick and/or scroogle), am attempting to move away from gmail but it's harder than I expected since I've had a gmail account since it first started.

I now only web-surf via anonymity-enhancing services such as TOR and JonDo.

As Bitcoin seems to particularly well suited to maintaining anonymity of financial transactions, I suspect that a lot of users of Bitcoin are also interested in the whole privacy/anonymity angle.

Anybody else have a similar mindset as regards bitcoin, internet privacy/anonymity, etc?

I just discovered your service today and am impressed by what I see so far.
I was wondering if you would be interested in accepting donations via bitcoin?
It's easy to get an address and paste it on your donations page (You can learn more at http://bitcoin.org or http://weusecoins.com)
Anyway let me know if you're interested, and I'll be the first to donate Smiley
