Maybe they had to relaunch because they put too much effort into their logo.

By the end of next month at the latest we will have permanently left behind 3 digits. You can quote me on this.

He is right. It does have to do with marketing and community. Look at Doge, the coin is ok in terms of design, but its the community that propelled it further. Other coins dont have such communities so it wouldnt be a bad move to stand out by making a nice logo to catch peoples attention.

haha maybe but its stabile now and people are mining it since yesterdays relaunch.
anyways im not dev of the coin, im just speaking from perrspective of user - its not super hard to fidn graphic to make nice logo and alot of crappy coins would make more sense if there was anything more than pure code in them.

ie id like to have tshirt with SUN coin logo, im having their signature for free onyl because the logo is so unique. logo itself makes the coin in this case for me

Most successful company logos are fairly minimalist by design.  That's a nice piece of artwork, sure, but it's not what most people are setting out to achieve when they want an image to represent their brand.

Will you give me a Bitcoin for this since the coin is so much prettier?

Theres a problem if the logo costs a significant percentage of the market capitalization of the coin itself. Haha

the problem with the coin logos is they should be completly scalable. So you should recognize the brand even you get a 16x16 icon for example coinmarketcap or similar sites! And many of coin developer have the technical skills but from technical site a prof. designer is more an artist then a designer. Perhaps this could cause! if you want to get a professional logo, it needs time... a concept and much more ... its a branding ... its a unique suit for your business

2 main reason I think.

Most dev are coders, not marketing people or graphic designer...

But also once you shrink it to a 60x60 or 120x120 icons you lose a lot of details... so why bother?

Some coins can be beautifully simple like bitcoin or total shit like we see a lot.

That's also one reason for pre-mine, bounties to reached out to the graphic designers around to help make a better looking logo

The best logos are fairly simple and elegant in design.  Look at the Facebook logo (not a crypto, but you get my meaning).
It's just an f in a blue box.

Obviously because 9 out of 10 devs are filthy copy-pasters who make coins on a weekend for free, and earn a few BTC by dumping the shitcoin later. Zero effort is the answer.

I think it depend on the way we look ... look at btc logo. It is simple. Even very simple. I mean that orange one with BTC inside.

I know that there are many crappy logos of altcoins - but I think all of them might be bad and good for someone.

Sun logo for me it's too ... too complicated Smiley
