Hey guys,

We're hiring a forum community manager with both deep knowledge of Bitcoin and popular online games like WoW, Everquest, Lineage 2, Diablo 2, Starcraft, CS.

You'll be responsible for answering any and all questions about Bitcoin on our site, making recommendations about services, explaining Bitcoin concepts and technology (at least at a high level).  You'll be helping our users to adopt and use Bitcoin by authoring guides that incorporate text, screenshots, audio and video.  When you're not busy with Bitcoin stuff, you'll be helping out with general forum moderation and customer service.

Location:  San Francisco, CA or the comfort of your own home (anywhere in the world), provided you have the necessary equipment and the discipline to work.

Pay:  $10-$15/hr USD depending on qualifications.  Payment by BTC optional.

Hours:  20-40 hours/week negotiable.

Duration:  This is an open-ended contract position.

Requirements:

18 years of age or old enough to enter in to a binding agreement in your country.
English fluency.  It doesn't have to be your first language but you should be able to communicate clearly with few grammar mistakes.
Fundamental understanding of Bitcoin and ability to teach, research, answer questions and guide new users in its use.
Knowledge and direct experience with various Bitcoin pools, exchanges, clients, merchants, forums, blogs and other services.
Knowledge and direct experience with various online games, gaming forums and blogs, other gaming services.
You keep up with Bitcoin news and things happening in the community.

Bonus:
You have prior customer service experience.
You have prior experience as a forum moderator.
You speak other languages fluently.
You keep up with gaming news.
You do NOT have a WoW addiction.

To apply:
PM me here and I'll give you an email address to send your resume to.  Don't worry if it's not super professional.  I realize the pool of candidates is going to be pretty small so I'm not going to nitpick about that stuff.  You could provide some links to your profiles on other forums and that'd be pretty helpful.  Explain why you think you'd be good for the job, what kind of gaming experience you have, what your level of Bitcoin knowledge is.

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

Not applying, but wondering if you'd consider someone who ticks all of those boxes except for the Gaming titles - the Gamer Geek I have in mind practically lives on games and has a silent but deep interest in Bitcoin, except that he's stuck in the era of pre 2000s gaming. I'm talking about board-game style RPGs, Nethack (there's really nothing geekier than a Nethacker!) and a couple of consoles 3 generations away from the ones today.

Asking because the support/moderation seems to be more Bitcoin-related rather than gaming.

Guys, you are all responding to a thread created in 2011. Roll Eyes

BSV is not the real Bcash. Bcash is the real Bcash.
