The USDT is not suitable as a coin to make money as a trade, because its price is almost unchanged, you should use it as a safe-haven coin instead of buying and selling coins!

I think the OP doesn't want to use USDT as a trading coin. He was asking about making the right move during this bearish market. He's having second thoughts about converting to USDT to save his asset and then buy back when it becomes more lower. You have a point nonetheless. USDT is never a money making coin since it's value is constant. USDT is only good to save your money while the market continues to fall down.

At the moment, you may still need to wait and wait out the correction in USD it is important that the train would not leave without you.

Hello !

Should I sell my altcoins , and switch to usdt , and buy when it will be lower ?
Thanks in advance

I'd say USDT is practically the same as real USD so if you are looking to hedge value, it is always a good option.

However, i'd like to recommend you to hold for now since the entire crypto market seems like it's already bottommed out. Selling now would be bad because the price is now expected to rise. You'd be missing out on good gains if you sell now.

I agreed with what you said because the crypto currency market always go green every first month of the Q4 of every year and I will advice the OP t hold now while he sell at the end of this month cause people will soon sell their coin or use it to stuff online for the holiday.

I do not think that selling now is good idea, but you can try trade short term with lower percent of your portfolio. If you are trading with USDT set stop loss. Never trade with more than 20% of your portfolio. Good luck!

This will depend on your strategies if you are not sure about this better not to do it. Some coins can’t trade to usdt so its important for you to know the basic things about this move and study this again if its really feasible to do so, profit making will be a good basis.

When the market fall into redzone, you should hold your coins in my opinion. Then bull market is comback, switch to USDT is a good choice.

Nobody can give you the exact answer because it's totally unpredictable.
But one thing for sure , anything can happen if you keep holding. Yes, when everything turn into red, you can just hold it or cut loss if you can afford more losses.
That's what I'm doing over 2 years !

Right now I am going to close all my trades and go out yo fiat. This correction gave use opportunity to fix profit in USD and then rebuy assets cheaper with great discounts. Personally I expect that the market will continue to fall in this year.

I wish you luck because it is hard to predict the bottom of bear market. I have two questions for you... Do you close your trades with profit or loss? Do you have targets when you will start buying again?

in any case, each of us understands that the Crypto currency has good prospects in the future, but when the market is restored no one can predict can not possibly take a year or two, but today remains the main task of preserving its assets and minimize losses.

Now it is not the time to switch to USDT. You could have done that when the price was so high. If you switch to USDT by selling your Alt I don't think it will be a wise decision.

It is not good time to sell any coins in this moment, all crypto market is in red and most of coins are at the lowest levels in the past year or even more. But on the other hand you can try to make some profit from this, even you will take some risk with selling now and convert to USDT. In this way you will keep value of your altcoins, but risky part is point when you will buy back those coins.

It is a tricky decision, to hold and watch price drop even more or try your strategy - but this is up to you, unfortunately no one can predict how the situation will develop in the following days or months.
I agree when you say "This is not the right time to sell any coins at this time,". This is an opportunity to collect favorite coins. They must see in September now, that price is starting to improve. I am very grateful.

Was a need to sell Altcoins before. I would have thought more about to keeping the money in USDT, or it is better to have a few extra transaction  and to go in  USD. The lack of control over the emission of USD  become  embarrass.

I think that now it is no longer worth moving from altkoyinov to dollars. maybe the market has already turned around

switching to USD is the safest way, because now USD has one stable price. so I think switching to USD is the best choice and eliminating the risk of big losses.

It was necessary to sell earlier, now if you sell, then will suffer losses. It seems to me that already you should not do it. Just wait when your coins grow or there will be their pamp.

This has just been done if you want to just breathe and recover for a while for your position if you know with your conviction using tools that it can go down. So you will switch to this lesser volatility crypto for that matter.
