That's a big problem, you can try to contact them via support and verify that you are the owner of the account.

Use the email that you used in exchange sites and tell them that you know your account user and password and then tell them the truth about your lost phone. Sometimes they are asking for KYC verification to verify that you own that account, but the other exchange site email is enough.

Next time, always backup your 2fa secret code because if you lose your device including 2fa, the chances of recovering the account is 50/50.

Like BitMaxz said above, the only way is by contacting the support of each websites and ask them to reset your 2FA.

Btw, next time I recommend using a 2FA app that supports backups like andOTP or Authenticator Plus. They just make your entire life easier.

For exchanges like Binance and co, you have to contact their support and you will need a valid ID to pull through.. More reason it's good to Do Kyc during registeration so that your next proof will have to be that same ID...  Wishing you the best, sorry about your phone.  From now on,  regard your 2fa codes as private keys.

I also feared of this problem. So instead, I installed an app called authy to install all my 2FA. This can be installed on multiple phones so the risk losing my 2fa has been is now gone.

Wow I just know this. So this Authy also have private keys? I'm sorry but I rarely use 2fa though I'm using now Google Authenticator that can't be backed up, I think.

Thanks. I'll try this one also.

Just that the question is out of the room: you don't happen to have an android and used an app like titanium to backup your whole phone? Just to be sure Cheesy I lost my phone also once and panicked over it that much that I forgot a bunch of things that might have saved my data.

I think that you need to write to technical support, where you have a cryptocurrency. I had the same situation with Yobit exchange. The admins asked me what was the last action with the account. Successfully disabled 2FA. Sorry for my English.

You don't have to worry . Just send a good email to the respective support of the mention cryptocurrency exchange.explain in details about you lost phone .support might demand proof of identity.make sure you give them the same identity you gave during registration.

as fas as i know there should be an option to get into your account even if you lost your 2FA device. you probably should have some secret 12-word phrase or smth?

Next time dig deeper with Google Authenticator or any 2FA verifier, they have a step to back up your installation.

Good luck on sending email those exchanges to recover your accounts/funds.

If you still have the email I think you can request to  exchange sites to reset your 2fa just provide your email just like what happen to me in cryptopia before they just required email where they can send the link to recover your account and remove 2fa.

Also, try to search using "search everything" both PC and your Android phone and maybe you can find your backup.

Agree, Authenticator Plus is great for back-upping via cloud services but in addition I would recommend to have  cheep Android device (companion to main phone) and never to take it out of the house to get rid off any frustration relevant to   loss of 2FA codes.

You will need to contact the support of each exchange you have an account, and follow their procedure to deactivate/reset 2FA on your account. Each exchange has a different procedure and I’ve seen cases regaining access to their account on the exchange ranging from within a few hours to weeks on end (specifically, HitBTC requires you to perform a kind of KYC along with providing your balance per crypto on the exchange, and the Transaction Hash of assests moved to the exchange).

You should check the current procedure on each exchange that you have an account on, but here are some guidelines:

Bittrex: https://steemit.com/bittrex/@bitcoinbangalore/how-to-disable-2-factor-authentication-in-bittrex-if-your-phone-is-lost
Binance: https://support.binance.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003585911-How-to-Reset-Google-2FA
HitBTC: https://support.hitbtc.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000709629-I-have-lost-reset-2FA-device
Kraken: https://support.kraken.com/hc/en-us/articles/201889308
Coinbase: https://support.coinbase.com/customer/en/portal/articles/2488794-i-have-lost-or-need-to-update-my-phone-or-2-factor-authentication-device

Side note: It may be worthwhile considering a 2FA that supports backups, such as Authy (you can backup the keys in an encrypted manner to the cloud, and/or restore onto another device and have multiple devices with the same 2FA keys simultaneously)

You don't need to be mad at your self the deed has already been done, all you need right now is a clear head to figure the solution to your problem. It going to be hard but with the help of the support on both binance, bittrex will help you out as long as you still can access your email which you used in registering on the site.
