I report from trust page:

''Risked BTC amount is money that the person could have stolen or did steal. For example, if you do a currency trade where the other person sends first, your feedback for them would have 0 risked BTC and their feedback for you would have risked BTC equal to the BTC value of the trade.
Trusted feedback''

So why tomatocage give me a negative trust without even know me and without even send me a single satoshi??

I report him negative trust:

''Be extremely wary before dealing with this one. New user with a propensity for creating schemes (group buys, lotteries, etc) where he ends up holding lots of BTC.''

I did a single group buy where i have the proof i bought the neptune in preorders.
Lotteris? I start a simple lotto game on gambling section where you can bet on 5 numbers of 90 total numbers and i extract them in live webcam session (btw still now no user played with it)

Because doing this as new user seems sketchy, that's why.

What's your meaning for new user? I registered from 2 months here and i read the forum from a long time.
So all "new" users start a group buy or something similar have to receive negative trust?

Well usually these "new" users have alot bigger tendency (I'd say 90%) to make an scam than members with trust and more posts+activity.

People hand out negatives WAY too quickly these days. Especially mods or early members who think they are better than anyone else

Your best bet is to talk to the guy who left the feedback, not to come to Meta and complain.  He's the only one that will be able to remove it (theymos could, but he's not going to)

Mmmm hmmm then you get situations like recent group buys that go south. Participants then start an onslaught of threads wondering why the community didn't do anything. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
OP, either keep trying to reach Tomatocage or try to prove him wrong and up your Trust with successful dealings.

When the subject of buying BTC with Paypal comes up, I often remember this:

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

The idea is that if someone really acts sketchy some people here are trying to prevent a scam, instead of adding neg trust after the scam (when the money is gone already.)

Earlier this week there was a scammer that wanted to buy coins and also get a loan. I replied in that loan topic to warn everyone that it was looking really sketchy. After that he still managed to scam someone for BTC0.5. If I added neg. trust, then maybe I could have prevented that scam. I actually felt bad about it but yeh I wasn't 100% sure so didn't add neg. trust Sad So I guess maybe it is a good idea to add neg. trust when you are "only" 70% sure or whatever.. at least scams can be prevented.

A neutral comment option as warning might be interesting too tho.

BTW I do not know you or your posts, so I am not implying that you are a scammer, but I am sure Tomatocage thinks you acted sketchy and might be able to prevent scams like this.

Please note that I didn't explicitly say that you're a scammer. Your posting activity is cause for concern though since you've already attempted at least two group buys and a lottery drawing which would leave you holding a potentially large bag of other people's money. People, especially new users, should be extremely wary of this sort of thing.

Handing them out is a double-edged sword, but most I see from people like Tomatocage etc are quite justified and probably stop a lot of people from getting scammed and do far more good than harm. I do realise it would boil most people's piss if they were given one when they had no intention of scamming though.

You'll probably just have to prove you're legit and gain trust. I see you're selling at least one item and have name-stamped pics of it, so if you do sell stuff and the deals go through without a hitch then he'll probably remove the feedback.

Trust ratings (at least from me anyway) are periodically reevaluated, though it's more subjective and doesn't necessarily change one your account title changes.
