Is it still a good idea to participate in ICOs?

With the number of scam and/or unsuccessful ICOs, do you still recommend investing in one or two? Why should or shouldn't I?

At the moment it will be unwise to invest in ICO, given that the market is bearish now. Wait for the bull run and then invest in the ICO.

it has never been a good idea to invest in any ICO but unfortunately because they were like lottery and people could win a lot of money in these things, they stuck to them and they are still throwing their money away by participating in ICOs.

the only thing different now is that altcoin market as a whole is in a dumping mode so price of everything is going down and also people trust ICOs less than before since they have been burnt enough times.

I think it depends on how the individual will be benefiting from ICO. If the individual is investing and making payment using his/her money, I would say it is not advisable to invest for now. On the contrary, if he/she only gets involves in ICO campaign which has to do with investment of only time and strength, I would say the individual can take the risk to participate in a reliable ICO, If it succeeds eventually, he/she would smile at the end.

Now a days ICO’s are going to rage. About 80% of ICO’s are scam. So it’s very important to choose a right ICO to participate in which your successful investment depends on. It’s better to join in your own thinking and idea.

Although there have been some scam and fake icos around recently but there are still some legot icos with working projects or atleast mvp available, i think icos are still lucrative if you find a project with real uses, experienced team and clear and to the point whitepaper.

In my opinion every good token is followed by the process of ICO. It can be considered as a win-win situation. There is much possibilities to increase the price if someone choose the right ICO to join.

I think in every sector of our life there is advantage and disadvantage. So its better to stay positive. Try to find out a perfect ICO in which your contribution will be quickly returned with an increase price.

I think its the only means to earn during this bearish market. Some project had made it into getting large volume exchanges and made up to x5 during the bearish market. Holding is the good strategy during a bearish market to keep the value of your asset but high fund investors are exploiting the market and getting a large turn over of at least x2 and some other investment bonuses.to increase your wallet size.

Even if there are so many scams in ICO, there are still some good ICO projects. You can check through the forum and study some projects and their whitepapers to know which you would invest in.

As there are so many ICO's in the market it can be difficult to choose which ICO to invest in. After seeing market condition we can say that if one can avoid investing in any ICO will be a good decision. Wait for the market to get stable. But on another hand, it can be a good time to invest in a coin. As of low coin prices & hold for some period until you get some profits

I would also advise to wait for a while until the market goes up. Now it is very difficult to find a real project - a lot of scams.

There are still many promising ICOs out there, as you have already mentioned it is a very risky process, so you have to research the ICO well before investing to try to minimize the risk, try to invest in real products with tangible results, that makes the project much more credible and therefore attract more investors.

Doubts will have an adverse impact. You better learn each ico that makes you interested in participating, so it can avoid you from the scams you fear.

I'd say it would be wiser to wait in any sharply moving market. Crypto are having a sharp rise in last 24 hours and it might just be more beneficial to hold bitcoin and alts than investing them on ICO's just now. As ICO tokens are fixed with a price and won't change until a frame of time. You can probably get them a week after just at the same price.

1.If you know about how to find out the legit and scam projects.
2.If you are looking for profits in short term.
3.If they have good promotional strategy.
