Top projects looking into transaction time speed

What projects are looking to solve the transaction speed deficiency crypto has in terms of competing with Visa/Mastercard.  It seems like this may be a good sector to jump into.

I think many solutions are being worked on and soon we will see these solutions like btc and ltc will come out of scalability issues as a result of implementation of lightening network, similarly eth is also working to upgrade its network and also adding several layers to its blockchain to speed up transactions so i think future will be good for the big coins.
