My friend told me that he mined 41 Bitcoins from his 2001 Nokia phone. So i'm wondering if it's worth it to mine Bitcoin or Litecoin from my 2004 Blackberry. Thoughts?

You will get about 174.8 BTC / hour with a 1997 Motorola phone. But these are very rare nowadays... (If you were serious, be aware that your friend is making fun of you)

Exactly. There is not one single smartphone out there today that would actually be profitable mining on. These devices are also not made to be 100% stressed for long periods of time.

it is impossible, even if it was possible there is no phone that could mine that amount of bitcoins.. hell, you would need a supercomputer for that.. your friend is probably making fun of you because you're a bitcoin newbie, don't take it personally

Don't listen to these guys, they just don't want you competing with them for the coins.
I am totally mining 2 BTC/day on my Prescott P4

This is not some pseudoeconomic post-modern Libertarian cult, it's an un-led, crowd-sourced mega startup organized around mutual self-interest where problems, whether of the theoretical or purely practical variety, are treated as temporary and, ultimately, solvable. Censorship of e-gold was easy. Censorship of Bitcoin will be… entertaining.
