At this point I think it is mainly a drama generating technique.

Coinhunter sent out a tweet stating that he would release Solidcoin version 2.01 with Source Code tomorrow. http://twitter.com/TheRealSolid In IRC chats he has emphatically stated he will not release Solidcoin 2.0 due to proprietary reasons. I think everyone knows my opinion of this, so no need in repeating it. What is yours?~BCX~ It appears there are proprietary control mechanisms in 2.0 that gave Coinhunter total control over the block chain. We shall see to what extent they are removed in 2.01.

It'll be interesting to see whats inside of it. Or rather, to hear about what others say whats inside of it.
Even more interesting if it sheds light on who are the 'trusted' nodes - I'm genuinely curious as to who is holding the 1m+ 'fake' Solidcoins, and if they can be matched up to forum members. I wouldn't be suprised in the least if the same SC supporters who are so vehement in their support were also given 1m+ coins.
Also, I'm curious as to what the 'public miners' are doing while the 'trust nodes' are finding their block.

Meh, I don't really think it's 'advertising'. Sure it's 'about' SC, but I doubt anyone is gonna sign up for it after reading how vulnerable the network is. I mean, if a reporter does a story about a murderer, are they 'advertising' murder? (yes it's an extreme example, no CH is not a murderer)

Good, I'll have an iterative solution to his recursive algorithm soon after.

Honestly, taco, I want to know where you got this recursive algorithm stuff from. The source I saw and the source Coinhunter posted on these forums has no recursion in the hashing algorithm what-so-ever.... not to say that source wasn't wrapped in something else but you're the only one I see saying this and I'm dying to know where you heard/saw that. How much of the source have you seen, viper?

The hashing algorithm. Edit: A pre-beta version, but it wasn't all too different from what coinhunter posted in these forums elsewhere. It is from BCX's claims on here and of his GPU miner. SC2 supporters are claiming SHA-3 hashing algorithms -- if this is true it may be very open to attacks by FPGA/GPU.

You realize that SHA-3 is a not-released-yet in review process where several algorithms are considered and will not be for at least another year or more? (I don't have the numbers in mind but in this area) BTCX is pulling your strings it seems

1m? You wish it was only 1m. Try 12m plus 10% wealth transfer mechanism into Real Solid person wallet.

It's the 21st of october already in Portugal and the Solidcoin network is still up despite BCX saying he would take it down and kill it before the 17th...
Goes both ways, sucker, or you wanted to be the only liar around here?

If you search Coinhunter's own posts you will see where he posted the core hashing algorithm already. Citation please? I have seen no source code posted either here or at Solidcoin.info.

There is no source code for anything posted. It is hard to prove a negative. Perhaps viperjm could provide a link to the code?

LOL and YEP, I even checked Coinhunter's post by Psy and Spacy. STFU... You are really a moron with less than half a brain. even if you had half a brain you wouldn't say that, but oh well, what to expect from someone full of shit like you.. BTW, when are you going to kill solidcoin? oh wait, it was supposed to be 4 days ago. LOL Once again: STFU troll, you are all words and no action. your wife must be very unhappy

viper is incorrect about me posting the full hashing code. I did post the initialization code for it which is what I think he may be referencing.
4 people have been given the full hash code at various times and the opencl version of it has now been released so anyone wanting to look at it can check there. Full source will be out soon anyhow. Thanks for taking an interest in the SolidCoin project.
