Was recently ripped off for .2 BTC thru an obvious scammer. Had to do with EBay and PayPal. (I know....I know) I am sure it is possible to track that transaction. Just do not know how to do it. Thanks for any help provided.

Post the transactionID here, or if you don't know how to do that, then post the address that you sent the bitcoins to and the approximate date and time that you sent it.

I have same problem using localbitcoins -> paypal but for 2 BTC.
What info do I need to post to get some assistance? I don't really have time right now to develop my blockchain tracing knowledge.

But if they sent it to their own addresses, then yes. At least we can know they sent it to bitmixer.

please will people learn the simple lesson.. paypal is scam central, do not trade with paypal users! a high percentage will charge back claiming someone hacked their account or other lies to get funds back. if you want to ignore the risk and continue doing paypal transactions then learn this. lessons: 1. ask them for details and proof of ownership of account. EG photo ID + webcam picture of their face holding a piece of paper with your username on it and their paypal email address, EG : 'i ( me@home.com) agree to pay (Urname123) $500' 2. if they refuse then they are scammers. 3. even asking them to sign a pgp contract or a bitcoin contract is not a recognised form of proof in paypals eyes. but ID check is. 4. with ID proof and blockchain transaction ID, paypal have started to accept that as a valid transaction. never ever trade without atleast doing some due diligence checks

What are you saying? BitCoin transactions are perfectly trackable, unless it was a shared transaction, or the coins were mixed...

Bitcoin transcations are trackable, Bitcoins themselves are not trackable unless you're lucky (coin is sent to empty account and no transactions occur on that account afterwards).

PayPal disregard all Bitcoin Transactions, and actually accounts get terminated without question for anything BTC Related.. It's in their Terms. Edit: You can however buy BTC Rigs with PayPal, but not the currency itself.
