Dammit, I can't remember the name of the game, but I literally spent days playing it.

It was a simple ascii-RPG game in the command line. Player had to walk around mazes, kill enemies, and collect various loot. The were several classes, spells, levels, etc. Maze, player, loot, enemies — everything was depicted with 1 ascii symbol.

And yes, there was no way to save the game (all saves were deleted after loading). But of course you could always backup the save file just in case.

Anybody remember the name of this one?

Have any of you tried the brutal doom mod with skulltag it's way better and more awesomer than the vanilla game but still mod or not doom is a classic and a good one at that too.

Windows 95? I think it did come out for Windows 95 after that but I thought that Red Alert 1 was windows 95.
