there's no possible way altcoin can overtake bitcoin, for now. bitcoin is way too superior compare to any altcoin.cryptocurrency market condition is so depend on bitcoin condition

I think it needs very long time to wait that. Bitcoin is Father of Crypto and maybe if that price is dump, all altcoins will dump too. Maybe imposible if  any Altcoin can be first in Cryptocurrency world,

Still believe in the near future they have coins or maybe the ethereum will become or overtake bitcoin as king.
They need only time for that they takes few years before it happen because that is not easy because market now dumping the value.

surely there is a possibility in the future that altcoin can replace the position of bitcoin as king, but to take over the position of bitcoin is very difficult, bitcoin prices still affect the altcoin price, so how can altcoin easily replace the position of bitcoin if the price is still influenced by bitcoin? that is very difficult

only ethereum has come close to bitcoin.  those who have diversified wallets might able to give their opinions about this.  i only have bitcoin and a few ethereum..but my friends have other coins but still lean more on btc.

How close Ethereum into Bitcoin were if I'm going to check its price now it was 86.75$ each while bitcoin was 3270$. I think yes. Ethereum is the most perspective coin which would to be a new king of the market. I don't know is it true, but I hope for that.

There's no altcoin that would actually top off BTC, as you can see in the market there is no single cryptocurrency that can actually outtake BTC in that #1 spot, the possible cryptos could actually top off Bitcoin are the ones who are sitting in the highest ladders, and to cryptos in the future that would have the possibility of overtaking Bitcoin, don't think of BTC as invulnerable and untouchable, anything is possible here.

This is unlikely to happen, because for investors Bitcoin is a completely different currency from altcoin. It may be inferior to some other altcoin technologies, but investors only consider Bitcoin as an asset similar to gold.

I don't think so, that any altcoin has a capacity to overtake or touch Bitcoin because all crypto currencies growth depends on Bitcoin. If Bitcoin grows then all altcoin's price grows, but when Bitcoin goes downward's then all coins or tokens price is also down. And this is due to Bitcoin's popularity and first choice of everyone's, and due to this it gains largest volume, marketcap of crypto market than any other altcoin.
Then, how we can say that any altcoin has a capability to overtake Bitcoin. But i also say that crypto world is unpredictable and what is hidden in its future nobody knows.

It's almost 8 months of 2018 and we have not seen any reasonable hikes for the altcoins,
It was only Ethereum that hit a good value of almost 1.4k$ in the beginning of the year . Since then it's pretty dull.

Forget overtaking can any ALTCOIN ever reach a value near Bitcoin.

Everyone asks this question and I guess people are thinking unnecessarily about this question because this doesn't mean anything for market, just talking from years about this question and what is result? Nothing.

I doubt that they will be able to reach the level of bitcoin , bitcoin is still the Creator of the crypto-currency market  and blockchain , I do not think that any of the crypto-currencies will be able to compete.

Ethereum has been falling for a year, and this downfall is harder than that of other coins. The matter is only in his shitty development! Buterin should do something worthy to save it!
