Generally, it is quite difficult to discern the differences in percentage because its not an easy research thing to do.
But i think an average citizen of my country is aware.

And it is promising because most are youths which is a very good move too.
Lets hope more youths get the gist about crypto currency.

Many of us here in this respective forum about cryptocurrency discussions and matters are from different countries and places, but how much does cryptocurrency is known to our place? I think we can read here some answers saying 10%, or a high percentagr about 70%. If your country reaches a 50% it only neans that your country was so engage in cryptocurrency and really adapt it. And in our country, young people known to bitcoin or cryptocurrency is about 1% in the 100million population.
My country has a population of about 40 million people and is called Ukraine. While there are tons of local crypto exchanges, some draft laws on full crypto legalization and some events on cryptos in big cities, it is hard to say how familiar people generally are with bitcoin. Fortunately, I managed to find some researh conducted to know how many Ukrainians know and use cryptos. The results are astonishing. According to a poll made by Kantar TNS Ukraine (TNS is a very solid thing, I guess), only 3% of those people who were asked about cryptos never heard of them before and 72% said they know what cryptos are. 13% of people admitted to own cryptos!  There were 1000 people aged between 18 and 55 who participated in this poll. 88% of those who have cryptos have bitcoin, 25% bitcoin cash and 18% litecoin. Source (in Ukrainian): https://www.the-village.com.ua/village/business/news/273185-skilki-ukrayintsiv-volodiyut-kriptovalyutami. Yeah, even though my country is not too known in the world, cryptos are very popular here. From time to time I can even see local stores accepting payment in bitcoin here.

As has a population of around 1.25 billion or more. If we look 2 years back only a small percent of users were into cryptocurrencies. But after 2017 a bitcoin hype was created all over the country and in 2018 RBI regulating bitcoin let many users know about cryptocurrencies. But still, I can roughly say that only around 25-30 % people have an idea about these coins. These are just my opinion actual figures can be less or more

I cannot say with certainty for the whole country, but a lot of my friends dont just know about the cryptocurrency, but they also hold some coins.
In general, I think about 5% of all residents of the country are somehow connected with the crypto currency.

Though crypto is not really legal in my country but I think is is about 20% known. I believe the more crypto grows and become potential, it will become more accepted and people will appreciate the system.

Crypto in my country is not completely legal. The Central Bank and Legislature keep issuing warnings to the citizens to desist from trading in cryptocurrency. They assume it's one of those Ponzi scheme out there. One would have thought that they would do some research, and a little research would help them discover that there's a technology behind every cryptocurrency out there and there's real life application of the solutions they proffer.

Despite this, a lot of young people are engaged in trading cryptos. Many have considerable knowledge of what the blockchain technology is all about. I've seen admins of ICO telegram groups that are from my country. There are WhatsApp groups dedicated to the tutoring young people about cryptos. The awareness is growing and an increasing number of people are buying and hodling cryptocurrencies for the future. All these are without government support. I believe if the government should give to support to the cryptos, the prospects will be really high around because as the largest African country, we have the market.

Well in my country I will say crypto currency is still less or 1 % because a lot of people don't really know about it, the ones that managed to hear about it thinks it is a scam, so it's not known in my country

In my country 20% of our population knew about crypto currency bitcoin but only 10 percent of it has the idea of how this work, 5 percent of it said its a scam, and another 5 percent of it are in neutral state (knew it but got no interest). In order crypto will hit massive adoption it needs to be backed by the government if not, it will be considered as ghost currency.

Our government have an objection about crypto currency. So it’s impossible to know actually how much people known crypto currency or use it in our country. It is only face book based activity in our country. Our central bank have some direction about bitcoin. So our police department forbid us to use bitcoin. At the moment almost 50% people in our country use internet for income. From my own experience about 3% to 4% people involved with crypto currency. That’s all.

I would have to go with a less than ten percent figure. these are the people that actually know about bitcoin and how they work. There are a lot of others though, who by being on social media have come across cryptos but they do not understand what you mean by it. If you ask them, have you heard of bitcoin they will answer in the positive but that is as much as they know about it.

in my country, i think it is about 10% because most of the people here in the republic of the philippines are unbanked and doesnt have decent financial literacy. i hope that the government may have projects to boost the knowledge of the people here

The question of course is strange,do not quite understand!?How many people know about different cryptocurrencies!?if so, many do not know, so everyone has heard mostly coins from the first 10 and then not all, but mostly ether and bitcoin, and ripple and so a simple mass of people usually do not think and do not know about the prospects

No exact data as far as I know. Almost all crypto is pseudo-anonymous, and address alone is not a good indication of how much people all over the world is already involved in crypto and we can have multiple addresses. So its really hard to estimate how much people knows crypto in my country.

I think it is less than 10% known here. Crypto although gaining reputation and fast growing is still new and relatively unknown. But bitcoin may be more known
