withdraw/request conversion error BTC - mBTC

I did not convert BTC to mBTC when withdrawing from the exchange and received a smaller amount than what was withdrawn.

Ex: withdrew 0.01000 BTC from exchange and had requested (wallet) 0.01000 mBTC. I should have requested 10.0000 mBTC.

Is there a way to recover the rest of what I had requested from my wallet? What are my options?

What you "requested" doesn't matter. The amount you receive in the address will be there in your wallet to be spent in the future.

Just withdrawal the missing amount to the same address and you will receive it as well.

As tryninja says, withdraw everything else on the exchange.

If you can't withdraw anything, contact theri support and ask them (maybe both were in mbtc and you didnt' notice)?

What are you refering to with 'wallet' ? Your desktop wallet (electrum ?) or the exchanges 'wallet' ?

The 'requested amount' in electrum is just an additional feature.
The amount of bitcoin for you available to spend only depends on the amount you have been sent (withdrawn from the exchange - fee).

Check the balance of your address on a block explorer (e.g. https://live.blockcypher.com/) or via the 'addresses' tab in your wallet.
You can safely ignore all 'requests' made inside electrum.

Here your option is to make another withdraw... if you do a withdraw of 9.99mbtc then you will have the 0.01 btc in your wallet after it arrive. Sometimes deal with btc - mbtc could be confusing, so, do your math before any move or things like this will happen. if the exchanger charge you a fee for withdraw then this kind of mistakes have a cost, but take it as a good thing, we always learn from errors, i'm sure this will not happen to you again.

Here your option is to make another withdraw... if you do a withdraw of 9.99mbtc then you will have the 0.01 btc in your wallet after it arrive. Sometimes deal with btc - mbtc could be confusing, so, do your math before any move or things like this will happen. if the exchanger charge you a fee for withdraw then this kind of mistakes have a cost, but take it as a good thing, we always learn from errors, i'm sure this will not happen to you again. 

You should take into account the withdrawal fees (some major exchanges have a fee of .0005 BTC) associated in the exchange by doing another withdrawal request biggiescopes should expect less than .01 BTC as he will do another transaction for the remaining balance not unless he has aN extra amount of BTC meant for the fees he won't receive the whole .01 BTC.
