I've used both Changelly and Shapeshift, and they're both pretty good--definitely much easier than using a traditional exchange.  The problem now is that Shapeshift is unavailable in the US because of their KYC concerns.  They took a stand and eliminated that entire customer base because they say they don't want to break people's anonymity, IIRC.  Not sure how Changelly doesn't have a problem requiring those documents, but I can still use them without having to do KYC.

I think it's a great service for people who don't really want to trade and just want to switch one coin for another.  There's definitely a need for that.
