The Answer is clearly yes! Using Blockchain Technology is typically one of the best Idea to combat political fraud and manipulation of votes by these PIGS. Everyone is practically in need to see the real number of votes of the candidates and not the cheated ballot boxes alone. One of the popular fraud is how VP Leni Robredo won. Where some of the ballot boxes are missing and changed by her supporter during a recount oncamsur,ph. Surprisingly the Ballot box is all wet on the outside but when  recounting begins they opened the box and all of the paper there isn't wet at all and the votes are changed? Coincendence? not at all of the candidate doesn't even have a single vote on it but all of it is on ROBREDO's NAME.

I agree with you my brother, the voting system here in the Philippines is run by central power that is who hold the fiat hold the system. So what if we change it to something like using a blockchain based election voting system that is transparent to the eye of the public, decentralizing it is our best option to clear all the corruption in the Philippines.

Bakit ko nasabi to?

the voting system here in the Philippines is run by central power that is who hold the fiat hold the system.

Who holds the largest quantity of resources or money can rule the judiciary system and other government related offices.

Meron ginawa na ito sa Africa sa Sierra Leone at naging matagumpay naman sa pamamagitan ng Agora (Agora is a blockchain-based voting ecosystem allowing anyone anywhere to vote online from a digital device in a fully secure, easy and certain way.)

Jumping into conclusion of a case which is still in the court will not be good for all of us. We all have our own opinion as to what happened in the elections of 2016 but since there is already a case in the Electoral Tribunal let them see and appreciate the evidence and come up with the decision on the matter. I am sure that truth will be coming out soon but until then let's put sobriety into the discussion. And yes, time is coming when blockchain technology can be used on elections so that we can once and for all avoid the usual manipulations and frauds that plagued the conduct of suffrage of this country. Frauds and manipulations had been big issues since time immemorial...when I was just a kid and in my elementary and high school days opposition personalities to the Marcos regime were all so noisy that frauds occurred whenever there was an election. Now, the same system was carried down to the Cory administration, to Ramos, to Estrada, of course to Gloria and even then in the time of Noynoy Aquino. No administration can claim that elections under their watch were all clean, honest and orderly. Still, even with the blockchain helping, human nature can get so creative...as we know that frauds can happen even before a voter has shaded his ballot. You can never prevent vote buying at the background even with using the blockchain technology.

Ano sa tingin nyo mga kababayan?

I recently heard about a news from ANC (ABS CBN NEWS CHANNEL) 5 months ago - they've interviewed a blockchain colsultant and the head of NEM philippines na pwede nila i-implement ang blockchain as a backbone  system for the upcoming national elections:

wow thats nice yan ang first step for this futuristic idea to happen ,ipalaganap muna ang kaalaman ,alam naman natin na hati ang opinyon ng mga tao in this field aside sa fact na konti pa lang talaga ang aware sa technology na ito.
but its good to know that its being discussed o napapagusapan o napapagaralan na yung blockchain system sa ilang schools
DepEd can play a major role para mapalawak ang knowledge nang filipino sa blockchain if they can implement seminars about blockchain or crypto introduction it can somehow spread awareness  and curiosity to students and parents.

Yes... Philippines can use blockchain technology for the election. That's the nicest way to use for the election.para naman malinis ang election natin, at walang dayaan But I know it couldn't be happened as fast as like the other countries do.
