I had watched a movie entitled "THE NERVE" . 'Nerve' is about an online dare game, in which people give participants anonymous dares for money. The participants compete with each other to win the grand prize as the dares get tougher. Things get worse when the tasks get increasingly dangerous and lives are at stake. This movie represents that hackers is not all criminal, . What do you think?

There could be plenty of good reasons to hack a system (for example, causing harm to a tyrannical government) but the majority of hacks are simply for personal gain.

The original hackers were simply people who were tinkering with technology. Many people now are of the opinion that hackers are criminals - but what they are thinking about is black hat hackers - the type that do illegal and nasty s**t

Most hackers are not criminals, they are simply people who are curious and passionate about the tech.

So , do you mean that most of the hackers are criminal because they do it because of personal gain?

You said that many people thinking that hackers are criminals but they are thinking that those criminals are black hat hackers, It seems that there are many kinds of hackers, what are they?

The word hacker is not synonymous with criminal, for every black-hat hacker out there, there are many white-hats who know just as much technical information about cracking systems but use their skills only for defence. They are often known as cyber-security specialists, but what they really as is hackers with morals.

Yes indeed, even hackers can also act as the protector of their country, when the hacker's country is attacked by another country, then the hacker can paralyze the digital security system of the country that attacks him.

Your conflating the terms hacking and cracking.

Either can be done ethically, for instance a company may pay a professional hacker to do security and penetration testing on their site in order to keep criminals out.

What is the difference between hacking and cracking?

That's a logical fallacy called "argument from personal experience"

Just because you got hacked doesn't mean that all hackers are criminals.

You clearly know nothing about what your talking about! Far more hackers, at least an order of magnitude more,
are employed in legitimate cyber-security and anti-virus/anti-malware firms, and are the ones who use their skills
to commit crimes.

Period.

From the point of view of the law, all hackers breaking anything are criminals. On the other hand, there are many examples when companies themselves are asked to test their security system for strength. In this case, such actions are clearly not a crime.

Hacking is stealing, stealing is a crime so therefore hacking is a crime and hackers are criminal. I am not saying this to blame them but to answer the question if it is a good or bad thing to commit, of course it is not good. It makes hackers benefit from someone else hardwork.

No hacking is not stealing, neither is cracking.

You sound as dumb as secret service agent Richard Gill from the movie HACKERS.

From the wiki article about hacking : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hacker

Quote
A computer hacker is any skilled computer expert that uses their technical knowledge to overcome a problem.

Just because some highly skilled hackers choose to use their insight into computing to commit crimes does not mean that
all hackers are criminals.

It's like saying all locksmiths must be criminals because they are experts at picking locks... it's just not true, neither is the
statement that all locksmiths are theives because picking locks can only be a crime... again not true, if you get locked out of
your house you can call a locksmith to legitimately unlock your house, no crime involved. A hacker could also legitimately
unlock your computer if you forgot your password and no crime would of been committed.

A person who hacks a computer system they do not own and without the permission of the owner is a criminal, especially if
they do it for financial gain. However a hacker who does penetration testing as a job is not a criminal for the same reasons
that a locksmith is not a criminal, just doing a job.

Do you understand now or is this topic too complex for you?
