Why is it considered as bad news? And its not downtrend either. What we are seeing is bitcoin trading at a sideways meaning there's no clear direction as to where the price is going to be. Anyways, if you are interested go to this thread:

Some manipulation is going on and it says the price spike to $6900 but its just artificial.

I do not agree with that, Bitcoin price is fluctuates, look to the price today, it goes from 6400$ to 6900$ in just couple hours, so anything could happen, and i am not so sure that we end this month in worst worse than at this time

altcoins have been getting dumped for a long time and will continue being dumped for a couple of more months but that has nothing to do with bitcoin. they sometimes put some pressure on bitcoin price but it is nothing that big bitcoin market  can not handle.

No rise but even no fall that can be an important thing now the prices were much stable and it can be a reason for the start of bull run soon but having stable prices are not bad news but even the prices were not stable yet.

Just as this was posted the price went up like 10%. This is bitcoin, sometimes it stays the same sometimes it goes up or down.
We should already be getting used to the volatility but also the stable-ish ways of bitcoin sometimes. Yeah sometimes it goes up huge or goes down huge but we had like couple of years at around 200-400 dollar range, YEARS , so one month with no real movement is not a huge deal for anyone who knows what bitcoin does or does not.

If you really want some wacky chaning quickly all the time type of investment, just invest on some casino as the casino bankroll (couple bitcoin casino websites allows you to be house), and watch as some people lose millions and some win millions.

That's your perception if that is a bad news, as a holder if the price falls that's an opportunity to add and fill my bag. But you are looking to it as something negative. If you don't do something while we are at that not so good price then you'll keep on thinking that these dips are very negative. Color wars? don't look at the charts so you won't look at those reds and you'll save your time as well.

I don't see why this would be so bad news. Also, I don't know where this speculation came from that the price will rise in August, such things can't be predicted for sure. Besides, this August hasn't brought us anything special regarding the price, not in good or in bad sense.

If you back last 2 weeks ago this month the price of the bitcoin pump but unfortunately the price of the bitcoin down again and now the price is more than 6000 dollars but it's not a bad news for me why because we have a chance to buy more bitcoin instead of panic selling.

If the prices goes down again under 6500, I believe the 6k floor should hold pretty well before the next rally starts. But,to be honest, we're in the accumulation phase, which I call the "boring" phase, so we shouldn't expect too much and just let the market do its own thing.

Are you forgetting what things should do during this kind of trend? Accumulate more or just stay where you are.

And no, it will not create a panic for long time holders. They won't be called long time holders in the first place if they did some panic on the way. They withstand lots of negative speculations already that's why they able to kept up their hold coins until now. Make sense.
