Team,
Lets have a bot discussion, Please only post if you know what you're talking about. Tough to get informed opinions now a days!
I have been reading a lot about the 3commas bot, but every time I make a trial bot and run a test it is a money looser not a money maker.
I have imagined what I think should be a fairly simple bot, I apologize if someone my trading language isn't quite up to par. I still have a lot to learn, but this is what I am picturing as a successful bot--regardless of what coin.
I am imagining a bot that buys in, lets say $1000 for 10 coins. The coins do little gains here and there, lets say on average it gains 10% a month. The bot largely ignores long term trends. The Bot "activates" when a large candle occurs and the price spikes up. Not sure how we can define this, maybe a 1 hour 10%+ growth (the percentage obviously is variable, it could be any percentage). Once that is triggered the bot sells. For example, from my understanding most 20%+ spikes are followed by a short correction. Once the correction occurs (another variable) lets say 6% red candle. then the bot buys back in and holds. Then it sells again once we have another 10%+ spike, then buy back in on the dip.
I see most bots are only doing 1-2% growth then sell, which is fine... if they work. Ultimately I am still stuck on making one work with a winning strategy. I "feel" like mine above should work. However, every bot I make does nothing but loose.
