i think these pictures need more explaining, i can't understand how they show manipulation!

but i wouldn't be surprised about it to be honest. bittrex has been a scam exchange for a very long time and last year they finally showed their true colors when they changed their rules overnight in order to scam thousands of their users and steal millions of dollars worth of their cryptocurrencies.
here is the profile of its owner: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=96390

The 2nd screenshot looks to be from a different time but the time is not visible so I can't confirm.

It looks like the user is referring to the depth stats like the total BTC/RFR on sell and buy. I'll analyse the second screenshot to keep things consistent.

On the buyers side, there is a total of 17285205.223 RFR which is supposed to be 11.7 BTC worth, however Bittrex is saying it's worth 4.319 BTC. The same thing goes for the sellers and the other screenshots.

Now when I log in to verify this is true, on the buyers side there is 16865062.813 RFR which is supposed to be worth 11.42 BTC however Bittrex is showing  4.576 BTC.

It looks like the prices do not match at all...I'm not sure if this is a bug or I'm misunderstanding the intention of the numbers. Other coins have some mismatches like this too, but only a small amount which shows it might be just the price the users are paying on the exchange, however the RFR market is quite amplified in this example and it looks like they're paying more for RFR?

Can someone chime in to see if I'm missing something here?

This thread belongs to the "Service Discussions" sub-forum.
We all know that the big crypto exchange platforms have a big arsenal of dirty tricks in order to scam and manipulate the users. This is nothing new.Big crypto platforms are the same as the big banks. We all need a working decentralized crypto trading platform.

All exchanges doing this kind manipulations.
They call this marketmaking, its transperent - open cmc and look at 24h trading vlume of some coins.
You see mad digits, if try sold 25% of this vlume you kill coin with 99% by dropping the price

Trading bots are common with new coins otherwise there will be no volume. They operate on all exchanges and some are operated by the coin's project leader. Bittrex has lost it's crown to binance but things are improving there so they might be able to turn things around

it is because your calculation is flawed. you are doing this:
17285205.223 * 0.00000068 = 11.75393955BTC

but you should have done this:
(41073.529 * 0.00000068) + (19955.770 * 0.00000067) + (243789.392 * 0.00000066) + ... (x * 0.00000001) = ResultBTC
and Result should be equal to 4.319BTC. if you did that and it was not then you can say it is wrong.

Ah right, thanks - I had a feeling I was wrong, looks like I was calculated the current price when I should've calculated the individual prices people are quoting on the order book.

I've already heard about that but I found that it is a fake news because it is not the last cryptocurrency exchange that we have presented and I thought that cannot allow themselves to act like that....

bittrex is one of the top trades, I don't think it's possible that bittrex scam might be the problem that happened to you was your own fault or maybe a system error in general. As long as I use Bittrex I don't find any problems, and I'm comfortable using it
