This coin has good tech and good development, but lack in promotion and community size. It need more promotion and exchange, but i understand coz its ICO raised only small amount. today more exchange=more listing fee.
if xspec has good tech then is that mean price will increase automatically? Hell no.
At least try listing in idex

New exchanges do not solve anything and do not increase the cost, but only increase the volume of trading.

This coin has a strong and large community, there are technologies - this will eventually give rise to a price.

I completely agree with you, if the price of BTC does not rise to all projects it will be hard.

I'm holding out for some major news, can't say there has been much from the xspec team recently. Lots of chatter about stealth staking but it's just chatter. Could do with some partnerships and exchanges in order to compete with other privacy coins

increasing trading volume will lead to increasing in price, more ppl interested in xspec, more ppl will buy this coin. strong and large community not increase price, ppl buying xspec do.

I know that today is the first day when the network V2 began to operate - with the support of self-financing.

The Spectrecoin network forked on Tuesday, 21 August 2018 22:01:52 (GMT) - first divergent block between the V2 and V1 chain was Block #805675 - it all seemed to have worked as planned and replay protection is in place between V2 and V1 chain. The block explorer is running V2: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/xspec/ and all the exchanges are running V2. Please do not send coins between the V2 and V1 chain as it may result in lost coins!

After all this time Spectrecoin has not progressed up the coinmarketcap rankings. I don't know what the issue is, the technology appears to be there but people are not moving away from reputable brands like monero. XSPEC needs better marketing

I think Spectrecoin is still developing and continues to look for loopholes to increase volume, this indeed looks difficult with this kind of situation. Spectrecoin has already had a name and is able to maintain it, certainly hope at a good price is every investor's dream.

@everyone – We are super excited to announce that we have been running our new Stealth-Staking algorithm on the Spectrecoin testnet over the last few days. The testnet is currently closed beta and intense testing is going on right now. A public beta on the testnet will likely be made available once we are satisfied that everything is working as it should. I am sure that you all appreciate how important it is for this major update to function correctly so it will take some time to get this onto the mainnet.

Spectrecoin’s much anticipated ‘Proof-of-Stealth’ is now a reality.

Spectrecoin’s unique algorithm is based on PoSv3 but using ring-signatures and stealth addresses to allow anonymous staking. See below for a sneak-peek below of the new wallet staking with anonymous SPECTRE:



Our lead developer @Tek has designed and implemented this system for anonymous staking and this will allow users to stake both XSPEC and/or SPECTRE. When you stake SPECTRE you will remain private throughout the whole staking process, using your anonymous SPECTRE and generating new SPECTRE with no history as a stake reward. Both your staking coins and your total balance will remain private.

We anticipate testing and stabilising Spectrecoin V3 until the end of February where we are likely to move to a public testnet beta and a hardfork to implement ‘Proof-of-Stealth’ at the end of March 2019 on the mainnet. There will be more updates as we approach the hard-fork and details on how to upgrade and how to use the new staking algorithm. The full technical details will be available in the updated white paper with other changes implemented over the last few months.

XSPEC had a number of good days recently. Were there any news? If not I always assume it's just a short pump after the long bear market...
I still hold some XSPEC from long time ago, good to see that they might catch on in the future.

I was once a spectrecoin holder and sold off i think 1 year ago
IIRC it is more off a privacy coins but it receive a lot of doubt and questions
As i don't know much on how to identify if it's a good tech and so and i sold off
Didn't know it was delisted from Bittrex hmm
