Announcement: I'm going on vacation and will be missing for a few days (until Wednesday)... When I return I will continue to work on another wallet update.

Depending on how this coin evolves until that time there may be changes in the reward scheme for the coin.

Keep voting, mining and let's take this coin to the moon! See the first post for details on voting and exchanges, leave me messages if this gets on a new exchange or a new pool or you just happen to have a great idea about what the next wallet update should include.

Note: Next wallet update planned for 18-20 March. It will limit the number of coins, include some security patches and may add some changes to the amount of coins released per block. Also I haven't forgotten: It will fix the height issue.

I just saw that Grain coin implemented "true random superblocks". Maybe you can talk to their admin or just check Grain's source code to see what is the difference from your method of superblock calculation? Also, there is the ZeroCoin project that enhances a coin's privacy but they are still in Alpha. I don't know if implementing ZeroCoin security would benefit the coin, but these are my 2 cents to help the evolution of 66 coin since I can't code or anything besides mining.  Roll Eyes

Recent changes on Mintpal:

Every user is limited to 5 (five) votes per hour. (-1 vote/hour)
Each 0.00010000 BTC received will count for 1 vote. (2 times more expensive than before)
due to the recent abuse of the system by bots, only registered users with a trade history are permitted to vote for coins.

Hi, I'll be back tomorrow, great job on the voting on mintpal, if you can afford try buying some coins off of cryptorush to raise the price a bit... let's not let it fall below 3 again.

phr3akish: yes, it's not immediately profitable to mine now but if we get on mintpal which is a big exchange and the price rises you can sell your coins for more than current price, alternatively, you can mine what is profitable now and buy 66 Smiley

bethy08: I was thinking to make the rewards slowly decrease in time (instead of halving as that may be disastrous for the coin)... if they become harder to mine in time it will be more likely that their price will rise because people trying to mine for instant profit will have little time before the reward becomes smaller again, and it will be harder to calculate profits if the rewards are not constant in time... I may also change the formula for superblock calculation as they seem to happen a bit too often right now.

segaazel: I will have a look at their code.

bdannnn: thanks for your support for this coin and the great BTC contributions to mintpal voting.

Any coins that were mined or received after block 32000 on the old chain are permanently and irrecoverably lost ... I'm sorry, I did try to make much noise to announce this...

If you sent coins after block 32000 on the old chain you should be able to reclaim those. Backup your wallet first, than try the things suggested here http://www.reddit.com/r/dogecoin/comments/1umrma/for_those_that_have_lost_coins_in_the_fork/

Also beware there will be another update around 18-20 of this month. We don't know yet if it will be this disruptive but still, better watch this thread.
If the next wallet update will also generate a hardfork I will leave 2 weeks for people to switch to the new wallet this time, it seems some respond very slowly.
