Sia is a decentralized cloud storage platform which intends to compete with existing storage solutions, at both the enterprise and P2P level. Instead of renting storage from a centralized provider, peers of Sia rent storage from each other. I don't hold Siacoin but it is very quiet in terms of updates and development but it remains strong and is still belongs to the top 50. There were too many alt coins that were gone out of the top list and this managed to survive and remain.

Some news are still real like what you said getting from your stats there's still around 30% of real news. But if this coin will thrive for more development in the future and it's able to compete with the newer ones and remains as underrated coin, it can survive for more years.

Even the price of siacoin are now dump is not the end and it will not die easily because it belong to the strong and good cryptocurrencies. News is one of the factor that can affect the price of cryptocurrencies but I know no one in cryptocurrencies will die because of the news.
