Many miners-beginners are installing Windows on their mining farms, but it is not very stable OS. So, a lot of servers running on Linux now. Mining farms on Ubuntu can work many months without any reboot (!)
But Ubuntu is very difficult OS for beginners. I wrote a tool with Python, which can help beginners on Ubuntu. This is a simple GUI tool which can help you with mining configuration on Ubuntu. It uses GCC 8 and it can rebuild Ethash kernels for hashrate improve.
