Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Here is a message i sent to about 10 members of this forum, who I found in Cannabis related threads. I hope someone will want and be in a position to help us with a donation! Hello, I'm part of a non-government organisation fighting the Cannabis prohibition in Bulgaria ( http://promena.org/). We are in the field for more then 14 years. We took part in the Global Marijuana Marches 6 times trough those years ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bTCbRwUv730). We have recently achieved a huge progress in the Medical Marijuana field - making some physicians and scientists (neurologists, oncologists, psychologist, biochemist) to talk publicly about the issue. We also were invited and took part in government hearings and commissions regarding the regulation and medical aspects of the subject. Yesterday we win a medical marijuana case - a patient diagnosed with diagnosed with Multiple sclerosis found not guilty for possession and growing his own medicine. In defiance of reason and all our efforts trough the years, the Bulgarian government have no intention (for now) to take the needed steps and make it possible for patients to have access to their medicine. We also legally registered a few more NPO's regarding Medical Marijuana (experts, network of patients using the illegal medicine,...) and Industrial Marijuana (connecting growers, people with land, scientists, etc). We are now trying to start a wave of Cannabis seminars in Europe starting from the first one in Bulgaria. Some international scientists and physicians agreed to come as lecturers for free (I hope they'll keep their word). I think as long as you only post a bitcoin address in this post and its not mentioned on the main website of the organisation it could be everyone wanting to get some coins. I mean i could open a thread, tell everyone im greenpeace and post a bitcoin address.
When the bitcoin address is on the official website then people could check if the website is legit, the organization and if the address is legit then too.

A court just ruled 700$ fine for a multiple sclerosis (MS) patient who grow his medicine - this case will now go to European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg. There are no such issues in all the 5000 years of historical usage of Cannabis Sativa as a medicine. The statistics in the countries that legalize/decriminalize Cannabis for recreational/medicine use shows that this lowers the usage of hard drugs in those countries, no big change in cannabis usage, billions saved... It treats diseases like multiple sclerosis, cancer, epilepsy and many more (also used on children) with not a tiny fraction of the side effects of the medicines for those diseases and on many patients with much better therapeutic effects. The last 50 years of war on drugs is a trillion-dollar failure going to it's end. |

The first Bulgarian cannabis seminar was held on June 22, 2014. It was a great experience with a great people and great lecturers:
Dr. J. Kardajov - "A problem with a made up problem."
Prof. A. Tokarev - "Who wins and who loses from the war on drugs."
K. Angelov (lawyer) - "Decriminalization or legalization."
Dr. V. Sotirov - "Good medical practices and drugs."
B. Sandov - "The forgotten hemp and it's economical potential."
A. Chervenkov - "420 reasons to grow hemp."
G. Luxembourg - "Medical cannabis - true or false? Definition, education, discussion. What makes the Israel MC program successful"
The hall was full. The seminar was filmed and live streamed all the time. I'll soon post links to the lectures videos (one of the lectures was in English and all the other in Bulgarian). I'll also post some photos from the event. Thank you everyone who made this first cannabis seminar happen! Weed like to talk!

Most of the population doesn't smoke weed or engage in any 'drugs' (less we count Alcohol but even many people abstrain from that). Last I check, voter participation is at historical low rates in most countries and nobody is taking to the streets. I think the problem with Weed is what the name implies, weed, it's something anybody can grow in their backyard and that's a problem. They'll make weed illegal or semi-legal but thinking it'll ever be outright legal to grow in our backyards is another (too much money involved / being made cracking down on it and lesser money made growing it as licensed farmers) |

Everything political in our world is based on lobbies. I'm not familiar with Bulgaria's exact case but in most countries there exists a class of "licensed farmers" who can grow things like Marijuana and Opium and they benefit from being able to sell a restricted good and not have to face any competition (unless one wants to pay off the government for all the required licensing and registrations). Naturally those guys, due to the money they have, can exert more political influence on drug policy than recreational users with no political influence. If weed became legal then many licensed growers, due to the collapse in price (look at what happened in Uruguay with the price of weed), would shut down. |

They know that if marijuana and its derivatives are legalized, their toxic and ineffective painkillers will lose market share. The EU parliament should take steps to legalize the sale and possession of marijuana. If tobacco can be legal, then cannabis also should be made legal.
you are definetely right... cannabis must be legal because it can be cure for various diseases like asthma .. according to me, cannabis is healtier than tobacco for sure.. |

I appreciate your support to legalize this unharmful green friend. Europe have to start legalising this and if they care about people's health they should ban cigarettes. It's way more harmful than weed. Let us know about tomorrow's seminar.
