Obama and Putin are playing Tough guy on the Block. Instead of putting 2 Countries at each others throat why not Putin and Obama go at it 1 Vs. 1
The world is sick of War.

Obama might go bananas but I think they'll calm things down. Perhaps sieze control of the country until things are sorted?

It's looking ugly
Ukraine (the pro euro side) also mentioned that they are ready for war if Russia doesn't withdraw their troops, so something might go down.
Hopefully USA won't get involved.. but Obama already warned Russia against any kind of invasion and now we will look bad if we don't step in someway.
Maybe Russia and Ukraine will make bitcoin their official currency after all this is over?

My predictions:
1. Putin won't give up and western countries (EU/USA/NATO) will do nothing at all 2. Ukraine will loose Crimea - the whole bi-land will became a Russian federation, controlled by Yanukovych and/or Putin
Next possible scenarios:
3. Military aggression triggered by Ukraine or Russia leading to war 4. Humanitarian disaster. 5. Ukraine refugees flooding Poland 6. Russia taking over Ukraine
Possible, but rather unlikely:
7. World War III

Also, the only hope I see are the United Nations (UN) troops in Ukraine ASAP.
Unfortunately it looks like Putin is much faster and we have piece-of-shit leaders here in the West. They all are already shitting their pants.

They don't have it anymore.
From Wikipedia: "Ukraine has acceded to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. Ukraine inherited about 5,000 nuclear weapons when it became independent from the Soviet Union in 1991, making its nuclear arsenal the third-largest in the world.[60] By 1996, Ukraine had voluntarily disposed of all nuclear weapons within its territory, transferring them to Russia."
and by the way: as far as I know, in return Russia promised Ukraine to respect Ukraine's territorial integrity.

I really doubt that the US will become seriously involved. I'd like to see Ukraine become more independent, but that seems unlikely.

This whole thing is a big puppet show. Governments love war, especially when population control is the goal.

IMHO Russia is absolute master when it comes to politics and they are constantly focused on expanding the imperium. Putin comes from KGB - they are trained in killing people and it's obvious that he doesn't care about human life at all. He can just do what he wants - we don't have ballsy leaders in the west anymore.

The situation isn't looking up. None of the other European countries are doing anything aside from talk. If this continues, a serious war might begin in Europe.

Remember, one doesn't build a nuclear weapon and let it sit. It must be maintained on a regular basis at a great expense, ergo if was more profitable to have them dismantled with other countries footing the bill.
