ETH is now hot topic - Whats wrong with it?

As we can see that the market of ETH is again becoming the weak one and there is no way it is even trying to come up with the prices of 300+ and they should have been 500 USD per coin by this time and thats why it is hopeless to see it trading at such low rates.

I wish to see some comments from the people as to why this situation is getting harder for the ETH specifically and why it is not in the recovery mode yet?

Is ETH becoming project which will be overcome by any other projects out there?

ETH rates have fallen sharply in recent years due to some reasons, and there are likely to be major retreats after the severe impact on the ETH, primarily due to negative news, mainly the news came from the SEC. Secondly, the altcoins were selling ETH, causing the exchange rate to drop dramatically in the last week.

Nothing Wrong with ETH, it's just effect of ICO market. This year ICO market did not do well, i mean most of the ICO projects did not reach to their target. That's why market goes down and ETH is part of this market! Even not only ETH is down, all market (like Bitcoin) is down. But ETH is the main altcoin of this market, because most of the project runs on the platform of ETH

Like in all revolutions, there will be wins (prize go up) and loses (prizes go down). Changing the mentality of how the money can be used will take normally 1-2 generations. ETH is a step forward, but hopefully not the last one. A new project can take crypto currencys to new level at any moment.

Particular I have equally really been curious, the huge drop gives certain concerns, dropped much lower than it's value when compared to BTC last year, I know the market dump has an effect, but being when most ICO's are developed from would have helped kept the value at a considerable level

Yes ethereum's tech is still very nice imo, but it just goes to show how much the price relied on all the ico's taking place on the eth network.

the price of bitcoin is now down and so is the price of altcoin, those who hold ETH flock to sell and turn it into BTC or USDT to cut losses, so just wait for the btc price to rise and the good news will make the price recover

It's not that so hot but due to the fact of almost new ICO are scam then this is mostly the reason of the decline of ETH in the market. Even if bitcoin hasn't been recovering yet this will also affect the prices of most altcoins in the market. So if any new project will be coming out they should consider the risk of being scam in the end. Most investors are now taking safety precautions before investing their money and it cripples mostly of the projects.

In my opinion this is a good time to buy cheap ETH, this is a very strong project, it will definitely rise.

I don't think that this is the reason, the success or failure of ICOs in reaching their objectives does not affect the price of ETH. In terms of use, the reality is that most ICOs still choose Ethereum as their platform. The problem of ETH is the same as that of the other coins, the bear market in which we are.

Ethereum has not been able to hold it resistance above 300. $ even when bitcoin has improved. It may have been caused by less demands from icos

I am pretty sure that it is not the news of SEC which is causing these things to it. Lets face the thing that they are getting affected by some of other internal facts because SEC would killed the market already but ETH was down since the few month and it has not come up with the BTC rising too and hence it looks like that it is something related to platform issues and thus investors falling back from it. ETH did have the issue of scalability and thus might be the cause that loosing ICO or some kind like that. Over the time loosing everything , the value, the market cap too.

It is now a hot topic since its price drops significantly, and i think there is no wrong about this. On the side of holding ethereum maybe they panic for the decreasing of price. But dont worry because ethereum has a potential, has a good value and ita price would comeback in the future market. And now is the right time i think to invest ethereum, since it has a low value to buy with.

ETH is still a good platform to launch an ICO or new project. Nothing wrong with ETH. What I noticed is when Bitcoin is down, ETH also follows and so are the other Atcoins so this is not really a breaking news, it's just that for the past few months we may have seen ETH on its lowest. It will recover eventually as Bitcoin will start to recover as well as we enter the Ber months.

Its simple, ETH as been a mainstream for lots of scam on the blockchain, too many ICO and airdrops on the ETH blockchain i think this is enough reason for the price dip, investors pump their funds into this scam, and most ICO do away with their money, and most of the volumes ETH has is a result of this too many projects and most of them don't even start bfr they fail.

ETH has always been a risky investment.  I'm not tech savvy, but I've read it's buggy, uncapped supply, no killer DApps have been built yet the blockchain has gotten congested, risk of Vitalik/foundation making crucial decisions/being a central point of failure, risky scaling solutions, ICO's holding huge supplies and dumping, etc.

There's nothing wrong with Ethereum in general. The facts are this, when the markets get tough, people start moving towards the strongest players in the game, at the moment that is Bitcoin. As you can see, Bitcoin dominance has increased by almost 20% in the last 8 months, simply because all the remaining hands are hedging against ETH and all other altcoins (remember most tokens are based on ETH.)
