Which cryptocurrency do you think it's easier to mine on any smartphone or mobile device? AFAIK, cryptocurrencies with SHA-256, Scrypt, X11, and X13 are difficult to mine with a smartphone or tablet, because of the high difficulty on their networks. I've heard that aeternity will be based on Cuckoo Cycle which goes easy on such devices, but its mainnet is not released yet. Therefore, I'm looking for a cryptocurrency that's available right now, which is easier to mine with my Android smartphone. Any recommendations or suggestions will be highly appreciated. Just want to know about this, to help introduce newcomers into cryptocurrency and showing them how mining works on mobile devices.

Electronuem is basically "airdrop" mining and has a nice android app and "realistic" mining feel. As far as I know there is no real android mining that actually does calculations to solve blocks etc

M7M does decent on CPU, just not very profitable. Of course that depends on your definition of profitability. If you live in the USA, No If you live in a 3rd world country Where some bearded old man is making a video to raise money for the kids in your village, then yes.

Electroneum is the best I've seen so far ,no lagging or freezing issues and the miner app doesn't drains battery ,the rewards are better than mining with GPUs especially now that the difficulty has skyrocket.

Electroneum isn't really profitable if you are going to mine it with your smart phone. I have read a lot of reviews with it telling people that this coin is one of the best coin to mine. But I disagree on it, how much electroneum is today? and that's only good if you really want to mine. If its about profitability, I don't think so.

You can try Electroneum or another coin, but let me ask you. What is the point anyways? There is no way you will be able to make any significant amounts of money doing that. Smart phones are not really made for mining. OK, maybe Electroneum won't take a lot of CPU power, because it is set up not to heat up the phone, but who knows what may happen with some of the other coins?

Do not mine on your smartphone. It is not profitable and there is no cooling. The battery or processor will quickly fail.

You do not really mining on your phone with ETN. If your phone was in perfect conditions it could mine X coins. That is what ETN miner app does. It is nice because your battery/performance are not going backwards. And you still earning ETN. So why not ? Now it is worth nothing but that is what people said about BTC in 2009. And look it now. Even if it hit a dollar. You can mine on the good phone some 10 ETN per week.

Thanks for the tip. I've never heard about Electroneum before until now, but it seems like an interesting cryptocurrency to start mining with my phone. If it's airdrop mining, then I guess that there's no actual hashpower being used from the device's CPU. This is clever, IMO, as it prevents battery drainage and reduction of the lifespan of the device itself, making it easier and accessible for anyone to earn free coins in their spare time. While ETN has been added to my list of coins to mine with a smartphone, I'm on the hunt for other cryptocurrencies that are extremely easy to mine with either a smartphone or tablet. aeternity is one of those coins I can't wait for it to launch, as its unique Cuckoo Cycle PoW algorithm, allows any device to easily mine coins without effort. This would allow greater decentralization over the cryptocurrency, as it allows anyone to participate in the security of the same (unlike Bitcoin and other popular cryptos). Another cryptocurrency which I've found out to be easy to mine with a smartphone is called Magi (XMG). This one is based on M7M PoW algorithm which goes easy on any device, since it has a model where the higher the hashrate in the network is, the lower the reward, allowing small miners to participate in the process. However, while this coin is easy to mine with a mobile device, it's not quite profitable after all. Perhaps, none of the CPU mineable coins are profitable, but if it makes you free money in your spare time, then it shouldn't matter.

There was a currency which you could mine by walking, your smartphone counts footprints and this way you earn coin. Sorry but I can't remember the name. On another hand there is no any easy to mine cryptocurrency for smartphones and I highly doubt it will ever be but there was some rumours that samsung was working on similar project.

I think that the cryptocurrency you're referring to is called Mangocoin (if I'm not mistaken). I used to walk and earn some coins back in the day where the cryptocurrency was popular, but nowadays it seems like it's a dead project as I can't find its listing on Coinmarketcap or an official website anymore. Anyways, I've seen another cryptocurrency which can be earned on a smartphone by simply playing a game. The cryptocurrency is a fork of NANO and it's called Banano. It has a unique game where you can play and earn free coins with your smartphone (although not mining), which helps you earn some spare cash while having hours of fun. Recently, I found out another cryptocurrency which can be mined easily on a smartphone called Phoneum. It has a similar concept of Electroneum where you're "virtually mining" coins within your smartphone. Cryptocurrencies like these are not profitable at all (if compared against GPU or ASIC mineable coins) but are quite fun to mine as a hobby. Nevertheless, I wish that there was a source of information such as a website where I could see all of the available cryptocurrencies which can only be mined with a CPU, to start mining them on various smartphones.

I don't think of mining using a smartphone even though some coins can be mined like ETN, but we have to think realistically when mining using GPU is no longer profitable let alone using a smartphone.

I've heard that aeternity will be based on Cuckoo Cycle which goes easy on such devices, but its mainnet is not released yet.
Since you mentioned Cuckoo Cycle, there's Merit ( https://www.merit.me/) that is also based on it. Smartphone mining is not active though. They have Growth Mining instead. But it is an easy coin to mine and transact with (For example, send to aliases like @abhijoysarkar instead of an alphanumeric address). So there's CPU mining, GPU mining (no AMD support at the moment though; only Nvidia) and Growth mining. Block rewards are fixed. 50% of rewards go to PoW miners. 50% go to Growth miners through a lottery. Growth miners are basically people who are growing the network i.e. both invitees and inviters (since Merit is an invite-only blockchain; people can get in with invite links of existing members only). Pretty cool. But it's just starting days. So let's see how it goes. They got featured on Techcrunch too which is nice: https://techcrunch.com/2018/05/09/a-modcloth-cofounder-just-launched-an-invite-only-cryptocurrency/
