There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Hi !

Main Emucoin Dev here.

I'm sorry, we will have to postpone the launch for some hours. This is something that is out of our control, as we experience unsolvable problems with our Windows wallet.

I really tought this could be solved on time, but we just realised how big the problem was.

We will keep you updated thought this thread and our Twitter account.

I'm still very sorry. Hope this will be solved soon.

Sincerely.

Emucoin

P.S. : NO SOURCE HAVE BEEN RELEASED YET.

You need wallet and to have it synched, to solo mine. Once that's done you hit windows key + R to, type in %APPDATA%

Then hit OK.

Look for folder with name of Wallet you just ran. Go into that, make a new text file with same name as wallet.conf. Make sure it's not saved as a text file, but as a config file. Then you just put in the basics:

rpcuser=username
rpcpassword=password
listen=1
server=1
daemon=1
rpcallowip=*
rpcport=?
rpcconnect=127.0.0.1
allowip=127.0.0.1
addnode=?
addnode=?
addnode=?

The question marks get filled in when you see posted rcp port and nodes at launch. Then in your .bat for solo mine you put usually:

sgminer -o 127.0.0.1:? -u username -p password

The question mark is the rpcport.

This will vary depending on what program you use, but it's almost the exact same syntax regardless of miner.

You then save that, close wallet, and run it again. Once wallet synched again, run your .bat and you're solo mining.

This is getting ridiculous. DEVS DON'T FUCKING PRE-ANN UNFINISHED COINS
Make a ninja launch when everything is ready and everybody will be happy. Postponing over and over is not the way to gain trust.

Stay up all night because of pre-ann, bad enough that you postpone the launch, but you do not even give an accurate time frame I can base a schedule around. This is becoming a trend lately.

Nothing will ever match the fail that is GPUcoin.
