Anybody run Cgminer from windows? I might have to for a few days until i get another PI.
cgminer 3.12.3 should work (it worked for me when doing some testing on windows 7) |

Luke and Nwools are great at getting support for new equipment into BFG and MultiMiner fast once they have equipment to work with. Just wanted to add that. Are you planning to send a sample unit to developers?

Unfortunately my old psu is off. It has problem and i though i can make it work but i cant. For that i must buy a new one. I see that each board needs 25w to work. What is your opinion to choose a cheap 550-600w psu or a good 400-500w. I think in the next months to buy more boards. Thank you for any advice
How many boards? A decent quality 4-500w psu should be good. Just make sure and double check how much of that wattage is 12V rails Ex I've got a thermaltake TR2 430W 12V1 is 17amps and 12V2 is 18A But what it didn't say on the box was that 12V2 was and eps 4+4 connector. So I had to go on the inter webs and find an eps8 to pcie 6+2 adapter. In all I've got right around 160gh in hardware + all USB hubs and controllers running off of 430W. I am thinking to buy this. http://www.coolermaster.com/powersupply/b-series/b500/it has in two 12v rails 24A and 21A for each rails. I think is good and a cheap psu for the board |

Haas anyone had these running properly on BFGMiner yet? I can get it to run at half speed.
I was going to test on both CGMiner and BFGMiner.
If anyone has any info please let me know.

In my humble opinion, a single rail 12V is better because you don't have to worry about spreading the load over multiple rails. But buying a power supply is like a religion to some... |

Some thoughts about supplying sample units to developers:
There are two major mining programs, Bfgminer and Cgminer. Cgminer has two main developers, so that means 3 units.
In order for a developer to be able to test/check all possible events, the sample unit should have multiple boards, at least 2 but more is better.
And it would be best if it would be boards with heat sinks, so overvolting can also be taken into account.
We're also still busy programming the serial communication between multiple boards.
End of next week, when the 2nd batch of heat sinks will be in, we'll make a decision about supplying sample units to developers.

I should have left well enough alone. I updated to cgminer. 4.2.1 and now my one string isn't recognized and my other miners have issues to. Then I tried going back to 3.12.3, and my ine string still isn't recognized. Maybe I'm missing some lib update or something. Any suggestions? I've asked in the cgminer forum as well.
Please note, the one string was extremely easy to set up the first time and blame user error on it not working now.

You are a great seller with very fast shipping and you have create a great product I have just setup mine, it works perfect and is mining at 30gh/s. Because here is the beginning of the greek hot summer i put two fan on below and one above the board   in the next days i must built better my rig if i want it to survive the greek summer with 35-40 celsius degrees I would like to add that i am mining with cgminer 4.0.0 and is stable for days. With the other version i have some problems with zombie usb etc. |

I started out with 4.2.1 and have not had an issue. I would try removing and re-installing the Zadig drivers, reboot and retry. That sometimes does the trick with cgminer. The only issue I have with cgminer is the usual stops working about 24 hrs in of mining and needs a restart. Not a One String problem at all. I should have left well enough alone. You could also send your driver algorithms to BFG for integration into the software thus lowering costs associated with not having to send out so much hardware. It is the same process you did for cgminer. Just a thought I hope it helps. Some thoughts about supplying sample units to developers:
