There is no staking in Bitcoin per se, im confused, I think you mean mining and not staking (staking is done on PoS coins, Bitcoin is a PoW coin).

However the way it works is similar: In solo mining or staking you have less chances of mining a block but you will get paid a bigger reward if you do. Whereas in mining pools the rewards come more often but at a lesser amount since it's spread across pool participants. That's basically it.

Note that nobody solo mines anymore in Bitcoin at least that I know of, since the chances are ridiculously small to get lucky, so everyone just joins pools. Probably somewhere there's some crazy guy hoping to win the lottery and is running a solo miner who knows, but that's very rare.

First off, the right term is mining. There is no such thing as staking in the crypto world. The rewards are bigger in solo mining. And in pool mining, the rewards are spread out in the pool so the amount is less too. Plus nowadays, pool mining is done more.

In any case the way in which it works is similar: In solo mining or staking, you have fewer chances of mining a square anyway you will get paid a more prominent reward if you do.

Solo staking and staking pool is something used for POS coins and you have posted it in the wrong section in that sense. Move the post to Altcoins discussions thread and you'll get to now more information on how staking works.

Are you confusing staking and mining?  Staking you usually do by yourself.  Mining is where you may want to pull up to increase your chances of getting a payout.

I don't think you should be posting in Bitcoin discussion thread because staking is not related to Bitcoin. But, if you are looking for how solo mining and mining in pool works then the main difference is between the effort and rewards. In solo mining you have to give more effort and time to mine a coin and once you mine it, the reward also gets very high.

The difference between the solo staking and staking pool is very less. The way of their work is quite similar. In solo staking, mining a block has vey less chance but the reward is high, if it is done. On the other hand, staking pool, the rewards come in fewer amounts. That’s all about these basically.

A pool is better because you get a larger return.  Solo is only worth it if you have a lot of your own coins to stake or you control a lot of hashing power for solo mining.
