icemining: New Policy on risky coin launches

In light of recent scam coins, icemining.ca will no longer support new coin launches with pre-mine/masternode pre-sale. The only exception will be projects that demonstrate the use of a reputable escrow service.

We're taking this strong position (at the risk of losing miners and profit) in order to drive change. We all know the community needs reputable escrow for new projects. Its been discussed, but little has changed. Now its time to step this up.

We invite other pools to join our position, so that new projects are forced to put some "skin in the game" before launching.

Honestly, this looks like a really good initiative. Because if the company loses miners and investors, then it will cause a huge problem for them. Therefore it will be a better move to not accept new coins at the moment.

Since the crypto market is rapidly recovering after the recent bearish trend, the community should make sure that such incidents don't continue to happen in the future. Ever growing scams and shitcoins played their part in recent fall of price. So, Icemining has taken a really great decision to improve the scene more. Every other platform should learn from them.

As far as I know, Icemining is a good to go but very new in the mining world, though it taking such kind of decision, has made itself different from many of mining ICOs. If they can stick with their policies, they may shine, though there is a chance of loss of miners.

Don't like this doing, can't see enough strong characteristics to spend money and time on such deal that is not reliable in profitability and stability.

I agree with Icemining position.... there are too many scams and in this way with a well known escrow scammers cases will decrease for sure.

Don't like it. Mining has gone away form its past level of popularity and trading is the king of the market in the profitability criteria. Trading is much better than mining with its resources.
