At press time, the second-largest cryptocurrency by market cap and the number one competitor to bitcoin is trading for roughly $272. This is about five dollars less than where it stood yesterday afternoon.

Ethereum recently attempted to jump beyond the $280 mark. Unfortunately, it failed to gather the momentum it needed to spike above $275 and is now working to gain traction against BTC and the U.S. dollar. Granted the buyers enter the fray once again and overpower the sellers, ETH could potentially move beyond the $285 mark.

ETH is the "Magic Leap" of the cryptocurrency space.

Massive hype, lots of promises, but disappointing results. Just wait when they have their "shard your socks" moment with the ill-fated sharding proposal. There's a reason its taking forever, because the problems it is supposedly going to "solve" aren't being addressed properly. The ETH network has had congestion events of 85,000 tx's backlogged, and it lasted for days. The entire system is straining under the demands of just a few DAPPS.

Confidence is waning, and when that happens - people cash out and don't look back. A lot of ICO's have already shifted their funds out as well.
