Not always. Most of the time. Other chains like Waves, NEO... are also used. ETH is used for ICO most of the time, so ETH price is still reasonably high.

There are a number of factors, if you check the recent successful ICOs most of the fund from VC comes from fiat not crypto investment because of the bear market, another thing is that most of these recent ICOs are just struggling to meet their softcap unlike before when they reach their hardcap in a matter of minutes

More icos are trying to liquidate their ethereum to the dollars and the majority of buyers have been putting the low position to buy more and more ethereum at the cheap price. Remember more than 2 millions worth of ethereum have been dumping to the market this year. That's a lot of amounts i suppose.

Yup. Eth may go lower as those ICO projects who got eth may liquidate further and convert to USD to continue with their projects.

when an altcoin is pumped with a lot of hype, fake manipulation and injection of money from whales and massive number of newbies FOMO buying some shitcoin, the price goes into a bubble after the pump. bubbles are unstable and can not stay around for long. they eventually pop and that leads to the next phase:

the dump
this is also a natural and inevitable phase in a pump and dump duo. it is when the hype goes away, the whales cash out and everyone starts to short that shitcoin to earn a lot of money during its downfall. during this phase there will always be a lot of newbie bag holders who stick to their bags tightly until they lose a lot of money like 80% to 90% of their investment and then slowly start panic selling. as they do that we have another round of huge drops as the price goes down sharply.

eventually the phase will be completed as the shitcoin reaches its bottom price and is abandoned by the newbie bag holders. but it won't be completed as long as they are bag holding and whales want their bags cheap. after they get it price will remain at the bottom for a long time so that they can accumulate and then the next pump starts and we will have the same thing all over again.

someday ago an exchange named cobinhood dumped the 45million$ in eth maybe this is the reason anyhow its price is increasing gradually nothing to worry it will follow the up trend with other alts

Either (a) ETH investors are cashing out or (b) ETH investors shifting their funds to Bitcoin. That's why the price on Bitcoin suddenly went up above $7K. Its been the that way eversince, but its just evident today because the price of ETH is really down that's why a sudden shift is felt by the ETH market right away. I agree that ETH is always used to funds ICO, but you also need to know that there are a lot of scams ICO right now. I have no idea how much ETH has flourished on ICO this year, but I'm assuming its worth billions already. Also ETH has the fundamental technology, so I don't think it will really go down hard and just like Bitcoin it will have its day and will have a good recovery, just a matter of time.

I think that there are a number of things or factors that are influencing the current price of Ethereum. For one, the market itself isn't exactly favorable and a lot of people are dumping their coins, leading to a further dip in the prices of these coins, ethereum not exempted. dont be so rush, the increase of price in eth will come soon, why dont you just use this opportunity to buy while eth price is too low, its a good price for buying more of it, and hold it until its price will increase.
