Do you want to buy in BULK!? 10-20-50-100+ sets for your website / shop / resell? - PM me how many sets and location - we have very secure supply chains with Gridseed and a huge buypower (discounts), so we can compete against ANY QUOTE you get from our competitors. I can also obtain VERY CHEAP shipping out of China TO ALL DESTINATIONS WORLD WIDE!!!! THIS IS NOT A PREORDER - ALL ITEMS ARE IN STOCK!!! SHIPPING FROM UNITED KINGDOM - NOT CHINA - TO ALL DESTINATIONS This auction is for 10 sets (10 miners per set). The bidding starts at $2100 USD PER SET (10 miners per set) FREE REWARD: THE HIGHEST BIDDER FOR THIS AUCTION WILL GET 1 EXTRA FREE MINER. LETS GET BIDDING! If you want to BUY NOW - PM me how many sets + location and i will come back ASAP(i will be competitive) Technical Specs:- Each miner - Can reach 320-350 k/hash SCRYPT @ approx 7watts, or 340-400 k/hash @ 12ish watts each (overclocking hashrates are approximate, your mileage may vary based on chip performance / cooling / planet & stars alignment in the night sky, i give no guarantees to overclocking speeds, but others have reported 340-400k/hash rates .... ).
- Each miner - BTC mode up to 11.25G/s BTC Hash Rate, with 2.4W/GHash
- Each miner - Dual-Coin mode supported - up to approx 8G/s BTC Hash Rate + 300K/s Scrypt Hash Rate, or up to 11.25G/s BTC Hash Rate + 38K Scrypt Hash Rate
Each set (10 miners) should be expected to mine between 3.6MH and 4MH SCRYPT at approx 100watts! (note: your milage on performance per miner on overclock may vary!) OR Each set (10 miners) should be expected to mine at approx 80GH BTC and approx 3MH SCRYPT in dual coin mode.... Power savings alone gives approx 12-15 TIMES more power efficiency than GPU's! Auction and timelines- 2nd March - Auction starts
- 5th March - Auction ends. 11:59pm UTC (GMT+0). Winners announced shortly thereafter. Shipping calculations to be added to winning bid (details below)
- 6th March - All payments to be received by 11:59pm UTC (GMT+0) otherwise you'll forfeit, rounders up will get second chance - first come first serve.

Other timelines- 3rd/4th March - ill be posting videos + showing them off, howto + newbie guides on the miners
- 6th/7th March - ill release a raspberry pi image with minerd compiled on it(non GUI & text based only for scrypt mining)
- 7th March (approx) - website will be online where you can buy from me directly
- 7th/9th March - ill release a raspberry pi image that will allow you to control the miners via a www website (will be clone of wiibox software - date is not 100% but i will provide a working image anyway as per the above)
- Sometime in March - 2nd Auction - OVER 10 SETS
- Sometime in March - 3rd Auction - OVER 10 SETS
- Sometime in March - 4th Auction - OVER 10 SETS
Whats included- 1 set has 10x gridseed 5 chip miners, as per specs above
- With each 1 set (10 miners) you'll also receive 10x 12v power heads - this allows greater adaptibility with PSU's (industrial type or computer PSU type) example: http://goo.gl/mfYXfl
- Nothing else. You'll need to source accessories such as cables, USB hub, PSU, etc, etc. (details below)
Auction Rules(very similar to bitcointalks auction rules) Post your bids in this thread. Prices must be stated in USD per set. You must state the max number of sets you want. I reserve the right to reject bids. So if someone bids for 18 sets @ $5000 USD. and this is the highest bid, then he'll get all 18 sets. If the two highest bids are 18 sets @ $4000 USD and 1 set @ $5000 USD, then the first person will get 17 sets and the second person will get 1 set. The notation "2 @ 5000" means 2 sets for $5000 USD each. Not 2 sets for $5000 USD total. - When you post a bid, the bids in your previous posts are considered to be automatically canceled. You can put multiple bids in one post, however. - All bid prices must be evenly divisible by $25 USD - The bidding starts at $2100 USD.- This auction will end as per the time listed above. - If two people bid at the same price, the person who bid first will have his slots filled first. - Bids are considered invalid and will be ignored if they do not specify both a price and a max quantity, or if they could not possibly win any sets If these rules are confusing, PM me or don't bid. You must pay for your sets within the timeline listed above - Otherwise your sets may be sold to someone else. Payment- please see below thread with info!
Shipping- Each set weighs approx 7kg
- Dimensions of box: 50cm x 50cm x 15cm
- Want to calculate your shipping costs? Go here: http://www.parcelforce.com/price-finder
- Take this quote - make a copy - and then subtract approx 30% of the cost(i get approx 30% discount)
- PM me these details if you win a set, along with the information above, i can help you to ensure you send the correct amount
- All shipping is trackable online
- I can always do the quotes for shipping if your unsure
- SHIPPING TO ALL DESTINATIONS
Escrow accepted!- Escrow is accepted, however, these are the terms:
- Your escrow agent will need to ensure the correct amount of USD (as BTC) is sent to us, so its recommended this auction post is given to him so they can read in full- especially this section, he/she needs to agree to these terms before acting as an escrow agent.
- As you can understand the BTC price fluctuates, between payment, shipping, and the escrow being released
- Our supply chain deals in fiat only - USD and RMB, so we cannot accept BTC fluctuations/risk in the market
- Whatever the BTC amount you send to the escrow agent, e.g. $2,400USD (4.297 BTC at time of writing) you are to send 20% MORE to the escrow agent
- This ensures if BTC drops within that amount, the correct amount in USD will be past to us (we dont hold BTC, we need to immediately transfer into USD/fiat etc) - e.g. as per the above, you send 4.297 BTC+ 20%(0.8594) = 5.1564BTC to the escrow agent.
- Your escrow agent, at the point of releasing the funds to us, will use http://preev.com/ to convert USD into BTC (including shipping etc) - and will send us the amount of BTC + shipping that equals your USD bid price + shipping costs agreed in the escrow agreement.
- If your items get stuck in customs / border controls / duty tax holding, et al for international shipping, we will hold no responsibility. However we forsee no issues within Europe - this might only apply to International shipping, but we dont see it being an issue at all! However WE WILL do our very best to ensure smooth delivery, but, you can understand we cannot be held accountable for delays, - if such an event happens - your escrow agent will need to release funds, and you'll need to wait for your item to clear customs etc - please note we will honor a refund policy if the items are DOA and returned to us (we have a US agent who can accept returns).
- Only reputable escrow agents who have been active for 1-2 years will be acceptable, they must abide by the following rules listed in this section
- All shipping is trackable online
- Once item is received by the buyer, escrow agent is to release funds by default within 24 hours of that reciept, (or sooner if given OK by buyer) - no exceptions (we cant be waiting days / weeks for escrow to clear as we deal in fiat)
- I hope this makes escrow fair for everyone!
Accessories list per 10 miners - you'll need to obtain the following:- 2 x 360w PSU with 12v supply, 1 can power 5 miners easily. e.g these: http://goo.gl/Lek5RP
- 2 x computer power cables that you can strip and wire into the PSU
- 12v wiring cable at a length of your choice (to connect miners from PSU's)
- 12v 2.5mm inner x 5.5mm outer plugs WILL BE PROVIDED (screw taps on the end - example: http://goo.gl/mfYXfl) WILL BE PROVIDED
- 10 x Mini-B USB cable at a length of your choice.
- POWERED USB hub - 10 ports, recommended so that each port can supply 5v at 1A each ... (get a 40-50w powered usb hub) DO NOT BUY USB 3.0 - not compatible with raspberry pi and other devices - get a powered USB 1.0/2.0 HUB.
- and then a raspberry pi, and/or a linux box of your choice running 3.x kernel. (Windows supported too) .... We have found the wiibox controller others provide to be unreliable and in some cases not detecting miners.
- Setup guides will be provided soon.
SHIPPING FROM UNITED KINGDOM - NOT CHINA - TO ALL DESTINATIONS

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

From my research the flakey issues are due to the wiibox.. If you use a r pi supposed to be more stable.

so just to get things straight here are you able to plug these units directly to a pc or laptop and have them work from there or do you need this wiibox controller or rasperry pi?

Unfortunately not - and i wouldn't as well, the controller i have found isn't reliable. Switch to a Windows box, Linux box with Ubuntu or Debian, or a Raspberry pi

@Alexuk,
I am only interested if they can run on my raspi, because adding them to a computer will at least double the use of electrics which is economical not interesting.
What guarantees can you give me that you have a working raspi image on the 9th?
2nd is there any news on the new firmware which could boost these units all the way up to 500kh/s? Would make a significant difference in the max bid I'm willing to place.
Cheers EJT

apt-get install automake g++ mc libjansson-dev libjansson4 pkg-config libcurl4-openssl-dev libcurl4-gnutls-dev
git clone https://github.com/gridseed/usb-miner.git
cd usb-miner/software/cpuminer/
./autogen.sh
./configure
make && make install
Then start minerd with relevant flags - more info on that soon.
That should then make minerd usable... Videos soon.

Just a little positive note lads, I decided to purchase two more Gridseed miners for my own 10 miner rig and after a few messages Alex managed to get me a couple at a reasonable price from his stock.
I was going to have them delivered but after further communication I realised I was a short drive around the motorway so I drove to him and collected paying with cash.
Generally a nice chap with lots of input, in my opinion a trusted one, I have passed on his details to my friends whom are looking at purchasing the gridseed miner setups for them to consider.
The only negative was tempting me with more products! I resisted and walked away only spending what I set out to.
Thanks mate, hope to deal again soon.

Can/Will you ship to Vancouver, Canada? If so, can you provide a guesstimate for shipping to V3J 3C8?
If not, can you provide a source for those screw-terminal barrel plugs? They look fantastic.
Guesstimate shipping is approx $150-200 USD for one set, i CAN ship 3 sets for the same price! (discounts only apply for shipping to me after 21kg) Source for screw-terminal things is from taobao...

For people having difficulty making all calculations and conversions for the payment I made a excell sheet on googledocs https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AvATw_mQElC3dFZ1QXRGOXNOeXIwSEtlRmhYN1Nid3c&usp=sharingyou should only change yellow cells the linked file is not writable so you should make your own copy to excel, Libreoffice or Googledocuments to edit I am not reponsable if there are any errors in the sheet, but PM me if you find some. In googledocuments you can save as tabseparated file which is a textfile you can copy easily into this forum.
