Mark Karpeles is definitely going to prison, for it's already been discovered by fellow bitcoiners on this forum that he put the bitcoins in coin storage, now knowing. beyond a shadow of a doubt, where them precious currently reside.
It saddens me deeply that The Bitcoin Foundation embraced Mark Karpeles/Mt Gox up to the very end, all knowing exactly what was going on, in spite of attempts of fellow bitcoiners bringing improprieties to its attention going on over a year.
Full disclose: I didn't have a single satoshi on Mt Gox, but did have 1,132 BTC (and are still there according to
https://blockchain.info) on InstaWallet when their hack/inside-job occurred over 11 months ago, and now
https://bitcoin-central.net/, owned by the same guys, are once again able to operate as an exchange, backed by some French bank.
