It will be interesting to see how strong those coins will be. Its great they paid with bitcoin as it is going into the right direction. but ideally all those new coins will also have their value and use case.

Juventus are a big club, they make coins to bring fans closer to the club.

As other members said, this is not the first time where exchanges use bitcoin to pay football team in order to advertise their platforms.
The question is do these teams or whatever other companies support cryptocurrencies and believe in it or they will just cash it out while they can do!

Though the news is pretty good it is not the first time crypto is using in the sports section. If you research then you will find many international sports player involves with the cryptocurrency. A few months ago, there was an ICO, Cashbet. Some of Arsenal players were involved there! Not only football but also other sector's player is also involved in crypto!

Bitcoin is only a prize for the best players from the 7 clubs that you say, that means Bitcoin is not used for commercial transactions in the premier league. I think that does not really affect the price of BTC, even I think that is just a marketing strategy from the relevant exchanger

I personally believe that this is a lot more important than it seems to be. The acceptance of new technologies normally go in baby steps mode, since a lot of people resists to change instead of quickly adapting to it and for instance seeking ways to improve that change. When they start accepting Bitcoin for something means that there is potential for this to grow a lot more. It might take time. However, accepting Bitcoin for tickets in Sports will probably happen just like everything else. It isn't that hard to do so. More tools needs to be created and more people using it, it's the only way it can happen a bit faster. |
