Anyone that's seen the movie would run away from anything Jordan Belfort has to say.
That's what should be happening, but I actually had someone refer to him months ago where that person was expecting me to refute his points. If people really believed he was a no-no, the media wouldn't ask for his opinion.
Most of the average joes don't even know what he actually did before he was idolized in movies and documentaries. He managed to build up a brand of himself and use it to sell books and become a globally popular speaker.
Good thing is that with how crypto in general becomes more mainstream, people will have a better understanding of what it actually means and how much fud these former scammers are spreading to cause panic amongst noobs.
