Hello! Are there any options to use Bitcrystals (https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcrystals/) which I received to my Electrum wallet? I have recently won in their competition and got some BTC and BCY as a reward. There is no problem with using BTC, but I can't get access to Bitcrystals balance. Their support recommended me to log into my wallet on Counterwallet (https://wallet.counterwallet.io/) in order to use BCY, but my secret passphrase cannot be accepted on their website ("Open Wallet" button isn't active after inserting the phrase). I thought that something wrong with my wallet, but I see the transactions in Bitcrtystals Explorer (xchain.io/), so it seems like I recieved BCY successfully. Could you give me any advise how I can get access to my BCY balance?

Have you tried putting your private keys that hold the bitcrystals into here: https://bitcrystals.com/products-services/wallets/book-of-orbs/

(take off all other forks before you do that though).

I'm not entirely sure how bitcrystals work but that looks like the best option...

(NOTE, I HAVE NO DIRECT CONFIDENCE WITH THAT SITE, USE WITH CAUTION).

Could you explain what "take off all other forks before you do that though" means? I tried to log into the wallet on their website, but I got an error.

He wanted to say that you should remove all other coins associated to these private keys (especially BTC) before entering them on a website.
This whole concept COULD be a whole scam just to get private keys to steal BTC. That would be nothing new. (Note: this does NOT mean that this is a scam. Just that it COULD be scam)

You have mentioned a 'secret passphrase'. Did you enter a 12/24 word mnemonic seed ?
In this case you should first move all funds associated with that seed to a completely new one before entering it in a non-reputable software to claim forks. This seed should be considered as compromised afterwards and should never be used again.

1. Go to Electrum and send all your BTC or relevant fork coins to another wallet. Leave only your BCY in that wallet;
2. Click on View -> Show Addresses;
3. Go to the Addresses tab, right-click your address with BCY and select "Private key";
4. Save that private key.

- Now go to https://wallet.counterwallet.io/
5. Create a Counterwallet account;
6. Log in and click on "Import Funds" -> "From another wallet";
7. Paste the private key from step 4 in the first field.

Follow the steps and this should sweep your BCY to your recently created Counterwallet account.

Your problem is not related with Electrum since there is no such wallet for BCY, which means you could not even receive it in this wallet. To receive BCY you should create wallet in any service which support this coin and then send BCY to this wallet/address. That means that you first need to create wallet at counterwallet.io and by click "Create New Wallet" you will get your 12 word passphrase.

So do not play with your Electrum seed or private keys, it is not worth to lose BTC for some coin which is worth 0.10$.

1. Go to Electrum and send all your BTC or relevant fork coins to another wallet. Leave only your BCY in that wallet;
2. Click on View -> Show Addresses;
3. Go to the Addresses tab, right-click your address with BCY and select "Private key";

Is BCY fork of BTC ? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=957797.0

It was me(/op indirectly) who said it was and tbh I haven't actually heard of them but all I knew is that it's a shitcoin so I'm not going to waste much time on searching them.

I found enough to find their site and their wallet and if he does actually have the funds and a way to retrieve them then he will be able to, else, he has porbably lost this one unless he can contact their team for help.

I guess it is since OP said their support told him to use the "Counterwallet" wallet to spend his coins. And Counterwallet is a protocol that runs above the Bitcoin chain.

I've done all the steps and successfully transferred BCY to Counerwallet wallet. Thanks a lot for the support!
