Hi guys

Few days ago something strange happened:

When I have started to mine with my 2x GIGABYTE R9 280X OC 3GB Windowforce - each did 750-760Kh/s - config: --thread-concurrency 8192 -I 13 -w 256 -g 2 with factory mem/gpu clock.
After few days I have installed ATI control center and press return to factory defaults button.
Since then graphic cards hash rate has been lowered to 550. I have tried to re-install drivers but still the same behavior.

After few hours I have decided to change my config to: --thread-concurrency 14336 -I 13 -w 256 or 384 -g 2 with factory mem/gpu clock and I got 730kh/s on the second card and first always "stops" at 700kh/s.

Somebody knows what can be the problem? Why It changed that much, why I had to change config settings like its a another card..

thx for tips

Did you install the 14.1 drivers? They suck. Uninstall, and go back to 13.12.

Tips? 1crazy8pMqgwJ7tX7ZPZmyPwFbc6xZKM9

So I went back to 13.12 driver version and the situation has changed quite well. Now both cards are running around 730Kh/s.

But still I do not understand why I have to have thread concurrency 14336 instead of 8192 as it was before.

Somebody knows how can I undervolt  GIGABYTE R9 280X OC 3GB windforce card? I have installed OC GURU II from the CD, but voltage is all the way grey out. Are those cards somehow locked?

thx

After few days without a sleep  Roll Eyes I finally found solution.

On one web site I found that there is command:  del *.bin which clears something.. I guess some setting for gpu.
After that my graphic cards run both again around 760Kh/s. Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

What I do not like is,that I bought another two GIGABYTE R9 280X OC 3GB rev.2 windforce cards and they run only 720Kh/s  Undecided I will probably change them..

Just open your bat file. e.g. cgminer.bat where you have your settings like: -i 13 -g 2 -w 256 etc.. and add to the first line: del *.bin
Start up will take 5 more additinal seconds so just be patient.

So, cgminer.bat should look like:

del *.bin
cgminer -I 13 -g 2 - w 256 --thread-concurrency 8192  etc.. if u have other additional settings there.
