Hey there everyone,
I am a new user as of today and basically my point of being here is to trade BTCs for USD (through paypal, etc.) I'm sure there is a list of honest traders and stuff of that sort. But I just wanted to stop in and say hello to everyone on the forums here! Thank you.

Try MyGox and Tradehill

Neither use Pay-Pal!
Though, with MtGox you can deposit cash at a chase bank, or B of A, and I think there is another one but I can't remember it.

Otherwise, you are going to have to find someone to sell them to you! And, you WILL have to pay first, just so you're aware!

There are a couple of exchanges that accept PP, but the volumes are so low it's hard to get the best prices.

Most people won't accept Paypal because of possible charge backs.  I won't.

I think your best bet is Mt. Gox.  Open a verified account and you can deposit cash at any Chase bank.  No fee to deposit and after you purchase you can transfer the Bitcoins to your wallet.

Have fun....

Besides, It'll drive me crazy trying to figure where it came from.

There used to be CoinPal, but Paypal has apparently shut that down.  I don't know if any alternative exists.

Paypal doesn't like bitcoin, so you may have to find other ways of buying bitcoins.

I bought 6 bitcoins via www.virwox.com using paypal. It works ok if you don't mind downloading second life - and their fees are a bit high - but it works.

Thanks for the tip.  I bought a few on ebay, but virwox.com looks much better.

What exactly did you do?  Install Second Life, buy Linden dollars, and exchange them for bitcoins?
